  1. I guess this is Musk’s response to the job cuts: The downside IMO is that it likely creates more competition for the available jobs and potentially brings down wages. I did see a few comments saying maybe companies shouldn’t need as many H1B visas then, but we know Musk’s opinion on those…
  2. https://www.wkyc.com/article/sports/local-sports/cleveland-state-wrestling-final-home-meet-program-permanent-end/95-7d4b641c-f892-41ed-837d-30420ad9d04e
  3. I agree the winner of 184 assuming one of these 2 (or McEnelly) should get the Hodge. Gable doesn’t have enough matches IMO and Mesenbrink has less competition. When you say Keckeisen would “become” the best 1xer, is that because otherwise he has a chance to be a 2xer? Keep in mind like Starocci he’s already had 4 NCAA tournaments, and also like Starocci he had the benefit of a redshirt in 2020 prior to the free year in 2021. He’d certainly be up there on the list of best 1xers though. I think Mark Hall would have an argument also.
  4. Willie said on podcast with Basch that Sasso voluntarily said Cannon should have the spot because he knew it was better for the team
  5. I’d guess he’d go 133. In the video he said it was “easy” to make 59kg, but only said “maybe” to dropping to 57
  6. How do they know that, he hasn’t wrestled anyone to be able to make that determination. Even when he won the title he didn’t light up the scoreboard
  7. I know you’re trolling but I’m guessing the Brands probably aren’t thrilled that he’s pretty much training at PSU to prepare for the match against Lee
  8. What’s the betting line?
  9. They sure loaded him up with a lot of gear
  10. Doctors that perform trans surgeries on minors, apparently
  11. I feel like there’s a semi decent chance he doesn’t wrestle another match after he loses at NCAA’s. So if I had to guess I’d say 6th after losing in semis. But could also be 1st, 2nd, or DNP.
  12. Agree. Not showing up for the postseason would probably scare off the few teams that may actually be interested in him, unless he is legitimately injured. And judging by his weightlifting videos that doesn’t appear to be the case.
  13. I would be surprised by that
  14. C’mon man, I am against trans surgeries for minors too, but the doctors performing them aren’t sex offenders.
  15. Great announcing by this guy even if not super knowledgeable about wrestling
  16. Cael said that Sealey had got some type of surgery either in the offseason or early in the season, which may have also impacted him (or maybe impacted his weight cut at least)
  17. Agree. My point all along has been to say that DOGE’s efforts should likely be good for the economy/country in the long-term. But probably not in the short-term IMO, largely due to the jobs that will be lost (both from the government jobs themselves being cut as well as private sector jobs that depended on government contracts that were cut).
  18. I don’t think that. Just pointing out that when you start out with x number of people with a job and fire some of those people, that’s going to have a negative impact on the economy compared to what it was previously
  19. Well to be fair, “the thread” was not created to discuss him drinking an unknown liquid while answering questions. The thread was created about him admitting to having an alcohol problem but claiming he’d stop if he got this position, and the recent story was just bumping it. Considering he wasn’t very qualified to begin with, and the fact that doing something that would show him to be “piss poor at his job” could have major consequences, hiring him was certainly a risk to say the least.
