  1. False, especially with the new rule
  2. Make up call from the undeserved stalling against Hardy?
  3. Guys he’s beaten at NCAA’s alone: 2023 - DeAugustino (4th 2022) 2022 - Courtney (2nd/6th/3rd) 2022 & 2021 - Barnett (7th/8th) 2022 - Cardinale (8th 2023) 2021 - Hildebrandt (4th 2021) 2021 - Lamont (5th 2021) Seems pretty good to me.
  4. Flo had actually put Braeden Davis in the rankings before he ever wrestled a dual…that may have been a bit premature
  5. Flobros are not waiting (which I agree with), Intermat is. Not that it really matters at the end of the day, but IMO “high probability” = should be in the rankings
  6. There’s always a chance, but I’d bet it’s about 95% Davis goes and 80% for Kasak. Are they not ranking any true freshman from any school until after they’ve had 6 dates? That would be the only way this might make some sense.
  7. Can’t imagine there have been too many mid season coaching changes in the past
  8. AJ Ferrari
  9. Maybe these are what cured Gilman’s foot a few years back?
  10. Hey at least he’s trying to sell something…do we know what sponsorships are paying for Real Woods, Jared Franek, Mikey Caliendo, Aaron Nagao and Bernie Truax?
  11. I saw they were not planning to use Griffith against MSU but ended up doing so after the Saldate pin and Amine loss. Guess Bormet cares about duals more than Mike Grey
  12. This is fair, but even if that does happen Brooks, Bartlett and Truax alone probably get at least 3 bonus
  13. Most interesting matchups for me, in order: 149: Gomez is always fun to watch, and Kasak showed some flashiness against Rooks as well. Kasak's first test against a top 5ish guy. 165: Clash of styles, and Mesenbrink's first test against a top 5ish guy. 125: Want to see more from Davis, especially against a guy like DeAugustino who is one of the biggest 125's I've seen and also can ride. I'd put this higher on the list but DeAugustino is incredibly boring to watch.
  14. Good writeup, but kinda disagree with your conclusions here. 125 is a mess because everybody has been taking losses. Davis has not yet, although he really only has one win over a top 10ish guy in Kaylor. Beating DeAugustino would give him another one and IMO put him squarely in the national title conversation, which he may have somewhat been already due to the parity but I think many are hesitant to do yet. On the flip side, both Nagao and Ragusin are proven commodities, no result would really surprise me. Ragusin has plenty of big wins in his career, just hasn’t been able to put it all together to AA yet.
  15. What was Escobedo yelling about at the end of Kazak/Rooks?
  16. Mostly just intermat I think. Flo had both Davis and Kasak in the rankings. I guess Kasak there may be a tiny bit of question still, but with Davis once he went against Hofstra it was pretty obvious.
  17. I think it still makes sense to choose down unless you're bad on bottom or the other guy is good on top. End of 1 you're up 3-1. You choose neutral and no scoring, 3-1. Other guy escapes, takes you down, you escape, lose 5-4. Should've chose bottom.
  18. Dumb. We know he’s most likely the starter
  19. How was Kasak not ranked by intermat? He beat #15 Singleton over a week ago. Looks like Flo had him at 17 btw
  20. Doubt it. His only good win is Terukina, and he has already lost to another team's backup this season whose starter isn't on the list, as well as another guy not on the list who has 6 losses.
  21. How did Diakomihalis make the list?
  22. Then I guess they can skirt the official definition of duck as defined by themat forums circa 2020
