  1. That is a surprise... he actually transferred through the portal last year... I think you only get one transfer before you have to sit....is that correct? Unless you are going NAIA or D2?
  2. An old t-shirt?
  3. This time I won't post her now picture to ruin your teen dreams.
  4. The boards are really both - information and entertainment.... Yes.... a number of years ago on the old boards, this was a regular occurrence. Literally, we would have a thread going for a week and then they would have an article up about the topic the next week taking full credit. I haven't seen it "as much" lately, but 100% they have done that. The fact that they mention boards means they are reading them... the reason they call it "entertainment" and not "information" is because it gives them free reign to plagiarize.
  5. You have to think that kids are very aware of the date at this point because of our 2,398 page thread about it. Taking a few days to make the announcement makes sense.
  6. Nice.... Dance on Em. We need more blue hair.
  7. Haha... some nice reading for sure. It's hilarious that Iowa fans actually thought that message Minnow put up about Keuter was real and had to contact his mom to verify. It's like they didn't have the IQ to recognize it was a play on Chittum and Ferrari.
  8. So he entered the portal after the deadline? So, he's sitting next year? Crazy stuff... I wanted to see Jameson do well in Minny. Fun kid to watch. I am wondering if this has anything to do with Chittum decommitting from Iowa?
  9. I must admit that Spencer does have him on the number of videos that dad has to make for their adult son.
  10. Has nothing to do with it... Abas wrestled a full schedule all 4 years and wrestled back through consolation. Has nothing to do with only winning 3 titles or at what weight. Now you want to move the goalposts to international where he won a silver at the Olympics at just about the same age that Spencer is now with no international career? Okay.... Like I said, I really don't care about the debate between Abas and Lee, but your Lee glasses just cause you to go into defense mode and start saying stuff that's stupid.
  11. He wrestled a full schedule all 4 years and wrestled back 4 matches in the consolation at the NCAA in 1998... not sure what you are getting at.
  12. I really don't care about the argument.... I was only referencing your knock on Abas and the Pac10 and that he did have competition. Nobody is arguing it's better than the Big10. Look up Abas' 2002 bracket... some impressive names in there. One thing we can say, Abas wrestled when he was supposed to.
  13. He was a good parent... if you want to be good at track, fun faster.
  14. PAC 10 was way different back then.... each year he won it there was 1 other guy from the conference who was an AA from the PAC 10. They also had other tournaments with other schools they went to as well, but that was probably before your time.
  15. So confirmation: 21 year old true freshman.... but never a question about his age...
  16. Wins over Demas, Bartlett and Murin..... but then some pretty bad losses...... start him on the days he's going to win?
  17. So he will be a 21 year old true freshman.... 19 Spring of 2021....20 in Spring of 2022.... 21 in Spring of 2023 Funny how the 2021 Tennessee State Championship bracket shows him as a sophomore.
  18. Graduating at 19 is not common... 17-18 is common. 19 means you were held back or started late.
  19. They didn't even have to show up to create that meltdown.
  20. So portal next year then say...Nebraska? Kind of a mid-west tour?
  21. Amazing how quickly tides turn.... One day Iowa is competing for the national title...the next top 10. One day Chittum is the favorite at 157...the next he is heading to ISU. One day all the Ferraris are heading to Iowa...the next day Rutgers enters the picture. As the Iowa Word Turns ...
  22. Depends on the over/under.
  23. Agree - year long suspension. It will be interesting to see what wrestling names come up at Iowa and ISU. They already pulled a baseball athlete from competition because of the investigation. Below is a quote from the article that states there is not evidence of actual match fixing. Brian Ohorilko, the director of gaming for the commission, said there is no evidence of match fixing or suspicious wagering activity. "There wasn't anything giving us pause or leading us to believe that any of these markets were compromised," he told the Action Network.
  24. Joel Adams will be an interesting one to watch down the road. The old cliche of how he will transition to folk style after focusing on greco the next year or two.
