  1. I cannot speak for the corporate world, I’m not employed but a large corporation. But I know that there is a huge shortage or workers for skilled labor positions in the trades. The trades typically pay fair. My moms clothing store was offering part time sales consultants $25/hr plus commission and she didn’t even have people applying for the job.
  2. Exactly. Special interest groups, lobbyists and corporate America have most politicians that rise the ranks under their thumbs (dem or republican). Even most people that enter politics with the right intentions end up compromised. The only politicians that I trust are two local legislators that I have known my entire life and that have not rose up the political ladder. They haven’t risen because they have morals, integrity and actually earnestly push to help protect the common man.
  3. Don’t be obtuse. The purchasing price of a dollar has decreased significantly in the last 3 years. Inflation rates have run rampant. Federal shutdowns and the fallout from them (supply chain issues, folks not wanting to work, even more American manufacturing shuffled to other countries, etc) have caused the value of the dollar to plummet.
  4. Exactly. Competition in the market place is what drives price. When the prices are basically unknown and there is a lot of unnecessary markup, the consumer gets screwed.
  5. Going up two weight classes in one offseason would be a tall task but I think Swiderski definitely has the frame to fill into 157 eventually. He is pretty long limbed.
  6. I'm not saying that America's system is good - just that Canada's should not be held up as the signing star. I would like to have a full private, non insurance bases system where you can shop around for the best price and you know exactly what you are going to pay up front. In fact there is a hospital in I believe Oklahoma City that does just that.
  7. It is not free, its paid for in their taxes. It's not accessible - it takes half a year to move from primary appointment to appointment with a specialist. What is the point of a "free" health care system if it's not accessible?
  8. Are you accusing me of making my information up? You are something else... They are waiting half a year on average between referral from GP doc to appointment with specialist. "Canada's healthcare system, called Medicare, was once the country's pride and joy. But as the program enters its seventh decade, public opinion is starting to turn. Just over half of Canadians said they were satisfied with their healthcare system in 2022, down from nearly 70% in 2020. It's easy to see why. Waits are interminable. In 2022, Canadian patients waited a median 27.4 weeks between referral from a general practitioner and receipt of treatment from a specialist, according to the Fraser Institute, a Vancouver think tank. That's nearly two weeks longer than the median wait time in 2021—and almost triple the 9.3 weeks Canadians waited on average in 1993. And since private health insurance is illegal for care the government deems medically necessary, patients can't pay a premium to escape the queue." https://www.forbes.com/sites/sallypipes/2023/01/17/close-the-border-to-canadian-health-care/?sh=674849b971bd
  9. I will be praying for you and your family. Pray that God's grace & peace is manifested on you all. God bless 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 KJV "9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."
  10. Yes that’s true. One is private and one is govt. Goes to show that unions also suck though (another dem stronghold)
  11. I have Canadian friends and they hate the heath care system. Simple follow up procedures from check ups take months to get scheduled in. The govt is not effective at running things.
  12. Another good reason to crap on Canada is that they encourage their own citizens to consider euthanizing themselves if they are down on their luck.
  13. US dairy’s actually have done this too. They are a part of a dairy union and when they were over producing, rather than drop the price of a gallon of milk, they dumped to “protect the price” and the union paid for it.
  14. Yeah, proven that it is not effective - particularly for young people. The risk/reward for those under 50 (and even more so under 35) is lopsided in the favor of no vaccine.
  15. Elon provides a platform for a Tucker Carlson - Trump interview and he is being charged with hiring discrimination the next day... Sounds about right.
  16. Looks like a ton of republican run cities..... LOL
  17. If that were the case you would have more undersized 125 pounders succeeding than undersized heavyweights - which is not the case. Last year a 220 pound Payton Pitzer beat a full sized heavyweight AA in Cohlton Shultz as a recent example.
  18. Sounds like “These rich men north of Richmond, Lord knows they all just wanna have total control” to me.
  19. “Vaccinate the world” on the USA White House page sounds like some one world government type of baloney. Continue to line the pockets of big pharma by pushing the clot shot.
  20. Seems like we all have been doing fine without having the clot shot mandated.
  21. We need to get this administration out of office as soon as possible. https://www.whitehouse.gov/covidplan/
  22. OK State has a hole at 157
  23. I don’t see Rhodes beating Swafford out for 184.
