Jett Strickenberger is a recent example. He was a NQ at 125 for WVU last year. Did not have a good NCAA tournament but had some nice wins over the year.
I have not seen enough folkstyle either to make a proclamation of a title threat. His freestyle results have been very good. Fix seems to think he’s the real deal.
I think he’s in the AA mix right off the bat. OK State always wrestles a tough schedule so we will know quickly where he stands. Crookham is the early favorite but is not head and shoulders above the rest at this point. What do you think Fly?
He’s just excited about his guy. And while there have been quite a few 4xers in OK there have not been many undefeated 4Xers. And Hughes does have a nice hit list. The future is bright.
Clearly he is already starting the descent and transforming his body. This just shows his dedication to making 197. Looks like he’s taking it seriously.
Dustin Plott was so HEW that he never went on to any success after that match, he was just cooked - completely done. He definitely did not make a U23 freestyle team a few short months after that or come back and take second in the NCAA championships the following year...
He would definitely help solidify their middle weights but they have a ways to go to be top 10 yet. Flo has OK State at 10 (prior to the Hendrickson addition), Mizzou 11, NC State 12, SDSU 13, Lehigh 14
I have to see Carroll compete at 197 before I call him an AA lock although I think he has tremendous upside at that weight and it would not surprise me a bit to see him as a high AA.
I think Iowa ends up shaking out

Solid team with a chance for quite a few AA’s. Will be in the mix for a trophy.
