  1. How are the Hawkeyes going to be able to practice grounding if they don’t have an area in the new facility dedicated to organic soil and wild grasses natural to the Iowa city biosphere?
  2. I will guess 125- Attasauov 133- Byrd 141- Pucino 149- Webster 157- Scoles 165- Braunagel 174- Ruth 184- Connell 197- Braunagel 285- Luffman
  3. Caliendo is shredded but apparently he came into the season at the lowest weight out of Franek, PK, Caliendo. He is not a particularly tall or lengthy individual.
  4. Correct.
  5. 125 - Drake Ayala 133- Cullan Schriever / Kale Peterson or transfer 141- Ryder Block (if he can make 141 still) or transfer 149- Caleb Rathjen / Victor Voinovich / Miguel Estrada 157- Mikey Caliendo / Cobe Seibrecht 165- Patrick Kennedy / Mikey Caliendo 174- Gabe Arnold 184- Nelson Brands / Angelo Ferrari 197- Zach Glazier 285- Ben Kueter / Bradley Hill
  6. Possibly but Rogers just looked way too small at 197 and apparently Bullock was significantly ahead of him for the 184 spot. Might just be looking to go somewhere he can slot in and start at 184.
  7. Jason Tsirtis, Andrew Howe
  8. Jay Borschell
  9. Great hunting and fishing around Brookings, SD and Tanner Cook is graduated so we have a hole in the lineup. Come train with Cael Swensen and Cade Devos!
  10. Anyone that rationally looks at the output of success over the last 15 years would conclude that Iowa State has been little brother in the state of Iowa. They may turn the tide and pass Iowa in the future but out placing them once at nationals in the last 15 years by 1.5 points in a year that they lost the dual to them and Iowa lost half their starting lineup to a gambling probe would be a very, very weak argument.
  11. Clearly a Hawkeye state and it’s not even a debate.
  12. OK State should be a great fit for his style. I could see him making a leap in performance. He will also have some good training partners in Thompson and Plott.
  13. Hamiti looks like he could be kin with John Smith so it should be a good fit once he learns the dialect.
  14. Are you sure they would be taking a paycut? Bono his making around $300,000 a year. I am sure they are doing well with the wrestling academy but I would be very surprised if each of these guys was pulling in $300,000 from the academy.
  15. Ah that’s true. Good point.
  16. I believe that he is done as this was his senior year eligibility wise.
  17. The push-out really helps his freestyle strategy. His slide-by, double unders/footsweep, inside trip all work much better when opponents have to pressure back to avoid the push-out.
  18. With Olejnik being done and how he developed this year at OK State they will be in the running I’m sure. They have a well funded program.
  19. OK State would make sense.
  20. Cael seems like a very good athlete. He shows some of that explosiveness on reattacks but definitely has shown a lack of ability to generate his own offense against the elite guys.
  21. SDSU 125- Tanner Jordan, Sr. 133- Derrick Cardinal, Jr. / Logan Swensen Fr. 141- Caleb Gross, Sr. / Logan Swensen Fr. 149- Alek Martin, Jr. 157- Cael Swensen, Jr. 165- Connor Gaynor, Jr. 174- Cade DeVos, Sr. 184- Bennet Berge, So. 197- Thomas Dineen, RsFr. / Quin Morgan Fr. 285- Luke Rasmussen, So.
  22. He is not particularly tall or lengthy. I could see him making 157. He has got to be smaller than Haines.
  23. Is Amine back for sure?
  24. I had friends over that are brand new to wrestling to watch the finals last night. They thought the reviews were crazy and said “Isn’t wrestling a sport where conditioning is a huge component of the final outcome?” I would be okay with removing reviews altogether. Referee initiated reviews 100% need to go. It breaks up the flow of the match. If challenge bricks need to stay, I do like the idea of a failed challenge resulting in an opponents choice or even a 1 point penalty for a failed challenge.
