  1. A lot of length between those guys. Hamiti has to be one of the only guys that regularly works a butcher at the D1 level. And he has success with it.
  2. Why? When I was a sophomore in college I was putting up 350 at 210 pounds while eating McDonalds and not living a good lifestyle.
  3. Nebraska @jajensen09
  4. Not a great round for the Jackrabbits
  5. Williams is incredibly talented. Would not surprised at all to see him win a title in his career.
  6. Idk man. This is the beau Bartlett experience. He does this and wins
  7. Cael stare down
  8. I know this is probably an unpopular opinion but I think it’s weird to change the rules when you wrestle a blind wrestler. This is the highest level of wrestling and it can totally change the style of how an athlete has to compete.
  9. In order or likelihood I will go: 10% Davis - 125 is crazy and he already has an OT match with Peterson 2% Mekhi - had a 2-1 victory over Turley last year at NCAA's and in that close of a match anything can happen 1% Fix - Bouzakis is a wild man and a pinner <1% Keckeisen - Feldkamp is also a wild man and a pinner <1% Haines - Mauller is the most accomplished 16/17 seed in the tournament
  10. Kerk pretty much rides/turns all of his opponents and gets ridden by no one. That is the definition of proficient mat wrestling. Saying anything else is disingenuous. In fact he out mat-wrestled Wyatt Hendrickson to beat him in the semis at nationals last year. I am not saying that Kerk's style of mat wrestling is exciting but it is one of, if not the most effective in this weight class. It is very reminiscent of Starrocci's mat wrestling.
  11. What makes you think Bastida is the better wrestler? Kerk is a returning finalist and one of the best mat wrestlers at the weight. His outside step high crotch is also probably the best leg attack of anyone at heavyweight. Yonger has incredible defense.
  12. Daton probably falls in the same category as Ridge where he uses great defense against the top competition but he opens it up against everyone else. Glazier has been so darn tough this year. He has been able to get to everyone’s legs besides Brooks.
  13. Keep it up Mr. Kozak! I agree that FRL is a top notch podcast by the way. They do a great job overall.
  14. Ridge is probably the most offensive guy in this list. But yes, against the top guys he is very stingy defensively and on top.
  15. Cole Matthews doesn't look like that big of a 141 pounder compared to someone like Echemendia or Tagen Jamison. First people that come to mind as looking big for their weight class are Levi Haines and Isaiah Salazar. Others that come to mind this year as looking big are: Stanich at 125, Crookham at 133, O'Toole, Carr and Hamiti at 165, Brayden Thomposn, Mekhi & Starrocci at 174, Will Feldkamp & TJ Stewart at 184 & Michael Beard at 197 For guys on the smaller side Shawver is a good example. A few more examples would be Teske at 133, Henson at 141, Gomez at 149, Antrell Taylor at 165 & Kennedy at 174
  16. 125- Michael Deugustino 133- Aaron Nagao 141- Beau Bartlett 149- Ridge Lovvett 157- Will Lewan 165- Cam Amine 174- Mekhi Lewis 184- Isaiah Salazar 197- Rocky Elam HWT- Cohlton Shultz
  17. 125: 21 | Brandon Kaylor 133: 20 | Tyler Wells 141: 18 | Cole Matthews 149: 21 | Willie Mcdougald 157: 22 | Mcgee 165: 21 | Fish 174: 23 | Augustine 184: 22 | Kane 197: 27| Surber HWT: 21 | Pitzer
  18. The takedown at the end of the first that he gave up oddly ended up being the difference also
  19. Plott and Munoz are the likely 3/4 seeds. With Salazar's two wins over Pinto, I cannot come up with a scenario where either jump over Salazar. He seems like the clear 2 seed.
  20. Salazar probably gets the 2 seed, right?

    Crookham

I have not decided yet. But I can assure you it is one of Fix, Crookham and Vito. They are all legitimate championship material.
  22. Gus

    Crookham

He was a headgear pull penalty point away from winning an NCAA championship and then went back to the finals 2 more times. How is that not championship material lol.
  23. Gus

    Crookham

Fix career record is 122-6 with 5 of those losses coming at NCAA's, 3 in the finals. The first 2 NCAA finals losses were in OT. The year that Suriano beat him in the finals, Fix beat Suriano in tie breakers in the dual. 60% career bonus rate, senior level world silver medalist. What exactly is championship material in your definition? Fix has been a hammer his whole career and is on the short list of best to never win a title at this point.
  24. I think Trumble wants to wrestle Heavyweight. Guessing that Matty Singleton thought he could benefit from a redshirt based on his NCAA results from last season.

    157 seeds

    Agreed.
