  2. yes he should still have his covid year!
  3. I feel very comfortable seeing the list that Vito or lee would qualify pretty comfortably at 57kg. I think we need to hope Dudaev qualifies here we absolutely do not want him at last chance he looked unreal at euros and beat Rashidov. Alirez teched Haji last year, and while hes still definitely dangerous I feel pretty confident Alirez or yianni would beat him. If lee wins the spot i'm still a bit apprehensive given his relative lack of international results. If zain navigates through the trials i feel good about him as well obviously I just don't think he can perform after the weight cut.
  4. I think Keck is pretty married to UNI at least from the bits he has said as well as Schwab and willie but money talks. I am personally hoping both little rock guys stay that will sort of be the final nail in the coffin for small programs if they leave. I would lean Mirasola over Cochran. I know Cochran had the big win over Slav, but he got beat 20-6 by beard and 13-6 by Cardenas so I don't know that he has a great ceiling at 197. It was in freestyle but Mirasola beat wick and max dean. I am hoping TB can snag that 174 spot or he transfers want to see him get on the podium.
  5. Johnny seems like a bad example because of how much special sauce he was "allegedly" taking pre usada. I think the move up came after and he actually looked physically smaller at 185. DC wrestled 197 when he was in community college so he did cut to 184 but he's never had a build that was extremely devoid of body fat.
  6. Anthony Knox registered and Jax Forrest mentioned that he was hoping to wrestle in this after he beat Larkin at boarder brawl would be rather insane to have 2 high schoolers at the same weight (Lilledahl qualified by taking 5th at senior nats) and 3 in the tournament including mirasola.
  7. I think its crazy that if you win a age level silver/bronze you are not qualified. Perhaps not at u17's but for instance Jesse was not qualified until he won NCAA's because of his junior world silver.
  8. because of the scaling of college football to NCAA wrestling I think you could argue Bama's 6 national titles in 11 years and then uconns woman's basketball. I think it may be the greatest run ever in modern day sports though which pains me to say.
  9. who would be bigger at 65kg zain or Caleb Henson
  10. Cornell 125- Ungar 133- Greg D 141- Cornella/saunders/joy 149- Fernandez 157- Shapiro 165- Ramirez 174- ruiz (only lost on his RS was to welsh in SV beat wolak a lot of techs) foca 184- foca/ruiz (I believe foca has a year of eligibility he may have to transfer though I'm not entirely sure) 197- No idea 285- cash Henderson?
  11. his turning ability is what makes him so good at freestyle. I think he would lose that a bit at 65 imagining him wrestling Yianni,Lee,Zain just does not seem like he has the frame for that. I really think he's a leg attack to both sides that he can find consistently away from being a medal threat every year. But against great guys he has not developed that yet and I do not know that for as long as hes been elite it will happen. He's always in the matches with Gillman and Gillman may be declining a tad and I think he matches up very well with Richards. So if he is able to cut the weight better than Vito he may be able to challenge Spencer for the spot this year. I personally want Vito to look like Vito because I think that means we have a gold medal but whoever comes out of that gauntlet we should feel very good about.
  12. he very well may have, I think thats the best fit because I don't know that they have another guy that will be good at 197 and trephen could low AA but he may just be a heavyweight now hes really tall.
  13. I thought about Jesse at 149 too. I thought about how small he seemed at u20's but he must've found his groove in the weight room or his diet because he looked all of 141. 149 would probably be a better spot for him too with his freestyle aspirations and is a better fit for their lineup overall. Im not sure if ben is big enough for 141 next year and I dont think nic will ever be a 141 his frames just too small but ben also has a baby face so he may hit a growth phase. Brandon cannon I think could make some noise at 141 next year as well he beat bailey at ironman and his only loss this year, I believe was to tom crook 6-4 beat a couple NQ's
  14. NC state 125- Jakob Camacho 133- Kai Orine 141- Ryan Jack 149- Jackson Arrington 157- Ed scott 165- in my pipe dream Dean Hamiti 174- Matty singleton 184- Dylan Fishback/Brock delsignore (he majored Bennet berge really really good red shirt season 197- Brock Delsignore/Trumble 285- Trephen
  15. 125 - McCrone/Kilkeary/ can ben davino make 125? 133 - Bouzakis/Ben davino 141 - Mendez 149 - D'Emilio/Brandon cannon/ 157 -Gallagher/Wilcox/D'Emilio/Ethan Birnden 165 - Hepner/Gallagher 174 - Welsh/Kharchla 184 - Rogotzke/Shumate 197 - Geog 285 - Feldman depending on what davino can do and how cannon continues to develop (really good red shirt season) I think this is a strong second place contender.
  16. hoping he goes to NC state or okie state I think both are good places to develop him. Mineo reported Michigan which would be a bummer I don't think they are a trophy contender next year.
  17. former who's 1 match! Ayala took it
  18. weird ass tournament for nagao
  19. you can but two level changes in the final 20 over an entire match should not force a stall call just because the guy has a lead that he earned and is sitting on his defense.
  20. Noto shows up in March
  21. you can't hit someone for a stall just because its the last 20 seconds of a match if you did not do much the prior 6 minutes 40
  22. Im not picking Feldman to beat Greg but I've been really impressed with him, anyone think he can keep it to one score he closed the gap a bit at big10's
  23. freestyle handles it quite well, they call you up pretty immediately or put you on the clock. I think you'd see guys game it if there was a clock they'd just go up to a quad pod then back down.
  24. great recruiting class and another year of Keegan could definitely be worse!
