  1. the rumor was he inked a seven-figure deal with HWC for 5 years I would assume the stipulations were that he competed over that time period. So, I would guess he goes another cycle.
  2. He was sucked out for 92kg he beats Snyder 6-3 in the same tournament Snyder beat Ghasempour 4-0 I think it's safe to assume he's beating Ghasempour since he's their rep right now and I would have ghasempour at least as a medal threat. Being 22 i'm also assuming he's still getting better fairly rapidly.
  3. at worlds last year I think he got quite a few turns he would bar guys and then bring them up and kinda suple/tilt them.
  4. The head of the Russian wrestling fed seems pretty confident he will be there.
  5. Snyders draw will be enormous as Maligned mentioned Azarpira will be drawn in and he may personally be my favorite to win the tournament he is very very good and seems to be getting better and better. If rankings points hold he will have Sadulaev in the quarter if he avoids Azarpira getting drawn in then if he gets past Sadulaev he will have the Azerbaijani most likely that hes beaten a few times. If he were to fall to Azarpira early I think Azarpira beats Sadulaev in his current form but then Snyder would have to beat Sadulaev on the back half. Ultimately as mentioned Snyder always medals and I have faith he can again, I also believe he could potentially win the entire thing but Azarpira is a serious landmine. For reference Snyder beat him 3-0 last year while Azarpira was a bit of an in between 92kg and 97 probably more of a true 97. Then this year when they wrestled Azarpira beat him 6-3 which is a pretty stark change especially given how stingy Snyder is,
  6. He's been working at the training lab, that guy knows his stuff on cutting weight he works with Tj Dillishaw and juan archuleta who both cut a ton.
  7. In the instance of Yianni,Vito,Daton,Alirez all of them were top 2-3 at the weight at the time of their red shirt. You could argue Alirez but having teched Aliyev over the summer I think he knew at that point he had a real shot at making the team. I believe in all of these guys cases as well they never red-shirted (aside from daton) with ivy's not allowing it outside of an olympic and I believe Alirez started right away. So in that sense they were just leveling the playing field.
  8. this is purely a freestyle turn but one I don't see get a ton of use however the Iowa guys seem to really like it is that move where the head is buried between the legs and then they pull them up to a quad pod esque position and roll I've seen both Austin and spencer use it to success.
  9. With the talks of who David will bring into the RTC, and the mention of Hidlay, PSU guys, Gable, Alirez etc... would it make more sense to punt the next year or two for worlds and go all in on one of Gable or Alirez and then Bassett and Forrest with already having Lockett. you can never Guarantee an Olympic or world team member, but I think that puts you in a position where you have three guys that will have a good shot at the 2028 and 2032 teams, and not to mention guys that could win multiple NCAA titles. You also have Cody Merrill who I know has not competed as much as a lot of the super hyped talent, but he beat Cole Mirasola 10-0 at Fargo last summer and it was not just a takedown to a lace.
  10. the high thigh figure 4 to a cross face I think would throw a lot of guys it also lets you chew up clock as long as you have them exposed, Zain used that in his third-place match. As hammer mentioned it's hard to get to that position with how little time, they get to work which would be the draw back.
  11. I believe WFS was 6 for 6 prior I don't think we qualified anyone at LCQ Bey fell one match short so I think we have 3 guys, but someone should fact check me.
  12. thats really exciting I expect big things from him this year then.
  13. Is mullens done with football?
  14. he ran a bar a lot at worlds last year which was super effective.
  15. I would be pretty shocked he seems super close with Yianni and Grey.
  16. what is this based off of?
  17. TRT tor, what is even crazier about his case is his deficiency was obviously a result of steroid abuse prior in his career so when he started taking even TRT he was probably carrying a super physiological amount of muscle simply from the Myo nuclei he had developed during that time period.
  18. Dake should watch a lot of tsebalov film to prep for Sidakov. To my knowledge hes the only guy to have beaten Sidakov twice and he also has a 2-2 criteria loss and most recently at last years worlds lost to him 6-4 at 32 years old. He definitely knows how to wrestle Sidakov as tough as possible. listening to an FRL they discussed how Sidakov was able to evade and counter Dakes chest wrap which nobody aside from him as seemed to be able to figure out. Its certainly a chess match I look forward to playing out.
  19. I actually listen to all of Basches stuff he would drive me insane early on but Ive come to respect how hard he rides for his "guys" I thought Aaron came off very bad in this, while I respect he has faith I think he should leave the judging to god and not take it into his own hands to claim that him winning the trials was an act of god or David and they guys that left need to find god.
  20. I think Ochir may be Zains worst matchup aside from maybe dudaev I like his style against Amouzad and musakaev a lot.
  21. now knowing we have a guy at each weight how many medals are we walking away with? I firmly believe we can medal at all 6 weights and potentially gold at 5 of 6 Zain navigating 65 will be a tall task as we saw he lost to ochir but that match feels like one he can win and ochir is one of the best. A guy like Amouzad seems like a pretty good matchup for Zain and I think he could melt musakaev if the refs don't let him take too many lung injury times. Unfortunately you toss in with those guys Dudaev, Kiyooka, Tevanyan, Mamedov you could potentially see zain have to win 3-4 toss up matches in a row but something he can do for sure. Spencer will need to be on his offense. A guy like Micic seems like a difficult matchup he will get to Spencers legs and can finish as well as anyone but if he can give himself 1,2,3 chances in par tear he can end a match against anyone. I think its Dake Sidakov pt 2 but it would be naive to pencil either guy in 100% with how good that weight is. Assuming AB goes I think he wins. As much as I think some of the stuff he says is rather dumb he very well may be the best wrestler at any weight in the world right now. Sadulaev did not look as good as I expect him to be at Russian nationals which leads me to believe worlds may have not just been the neck issue. Taz is the man to beat until proven otherwise but I have more faith Snyder can make adjustments on his finishes to avoid giving up 4's against him then watching him lose to Sadulaev when he was at his best in seemingly the same way each time so I think he has a shot to win it all this year especially as good as he looked against Trumble. Azarpir will also be a huge threat he beat Snyder at a ranking series last fall but this weight feels extremely top heavy so hopefully he can snag a good draw. I cannot see Mason beating Zare right now but he beats anyone else in the world in my opinion. Matchup wise Munkthur from Mongolia scares me a bit because I think he can match masons athleticism but I think he beats Geno the next time they wrestle and luckily Iran can only send one of Zare or Masoumi. My prediction 4 golds 1 silver 1 bronze.
  22. scroll down a bit in the article its a pic of Aman and Spencer standing next to each other
