  1. Seems like a horrendous matchup for Bassett unless he elects to just hand fight and not shoot which I doubt happens.
  2. believe we will have Beau on Bo crime round 1 and Mendez gets the award of likely wrestling Blaze in his first match. My picks are Blaze and Bartlett win those.
  3. Bassett seemed to have gotten seeded because he beat valencia a bunch of times last year. I have no idea how they decided to put Hardy at #2 other than he has a u23 bronze 2 years ago.
  4. Ramirez wrestled Knox very well outside of on the mat from Neutral it was very competitive.
  5. Sergio seems like he could be a 149 he is really skinny.
  6. Interesting I always saw them as 133,141 maybe even 141,149 but Jayden is holding 121 at least until worlds so maybe he can stay at 125 and Jordyn can go whatever weight Jax is not occupying.
  7. I'm just not sure where they fit in there. Unless they can both hold 125,133. They obviously have had super competitive matches with Jax in the past but I am not sure that holds true now. I also don't know if they can beat vega that would be an insane match.
  8. These two can really change a program. I am not going to lock them in for national titles but they are both going to score a lot of points year 1 at nationals I believe. They are both pinners and seem to differentiate in weight enough to where they are both going to be optimized at two different weights. List: Ohio state Iowa Oklahoma state Nebraska Illinois I think its probably Iowa or Illinois reports a few weeks ago sounded like it was Iowa. If they go to Iowa that would be one of the better on paper classes ever. I believe it would be 1,4,5,8 on willies big board going off the p4p list.
  9. Seth posted a youtube video where he talks about Austin wrestling after the whistle at the end and its pretty awesome. Austin apologized and said "I'm sorry I'm trying to be better I just hate losing" I thought that was really raw and while its only a few words gives a really good perspective of Austin and I am sure a lot of these guys.
  10. Willie reported Dee could go 157 next year so I was looking at what that could do for their lineup 125: Spratley 133: Richie Figs 141: Hughes/Vega 149: Jamison/Swiderski/Robideau 157: Lockett/Robideau/Travis 165: Facundo/Lockett 174: Thompson/Facundo 184: Ryder/Thompson 197: Merill 285: Doucet that's a pretty mean team
  11. the article reports it as trafficking, I am not sure if all acts of prostitution are listed as that. To me that sounds kind of serious though.
  12. the chat is saying "who cares" and "its not a big deal". Which I find to be absolutely insane.
  13. I believe figs and Ayala are 1-1 all time Ayala beat him at who's 1 at the time it was a big upset and then figs beat him in the national finals in 2024. I think there was something clearly not right with Figs last year. Yes we have seen various in his performance but not exactly to that degree. I do question if he will be big enough for 133 but we shall see.
  14. not entirely sure how the same guy can tech seabass and beat amir yazdani, yianni etc then lose to destribats.
  15. if none of them red shirt they will be the same age or younger than most of the guys that finish college wrestling.
  16. I think all these guys listed have been afforded similar training opportunities. I know Pj has been training in happy valley for awhile. This is Just eye test but from a physical maturity perspective Jax seems like he has the most actual growing to do so maybe there is you edge. I like the mention of Dreshaun if he develops 60% of the actual wrestling ability of the other guys he could be the best just given his physical abilities that are uniquely his own and the weight he competes at. I was slightly let down by his performance at u20's I was just hoping he would get to his offense more. I think Blaze has one thing that is really going for him and that is he is about as world class as it gets with his positioning and defense already so he can devote most of his time to his offense which is a huge advantage to me.
  17. thats a huge win for Rademacher the cuban wrestled snyder really tough last year. Team USA has a really really bright future.
  18. at worlds!! this was meant to be about gomez lmao
  19. Austin gomez can win a medal at 70kg
  20. 2027 125 Spratley vs Deluca 133 Forrest/Ramirez vs Raney 141 Vega/Forrest vs Bailey/Raney 149 Swiderski/Vega vs Bassett 157 Robideau vs Williams 165 Lockett vs Transfer 174 Facundo vs Arnold 184 Ryder vs Ferrari 197 Merrill vs Ludington 285 Ross vs Keuter this feels like Oklahoma state 7-3/6-4 to me
  21. going to be completely honest I think with these two lineups each team has 1 for sure win 125 for OKST and 285 for Iowa. Iowa is definitely favored at 133,165,174,184 but those all feel like matches OKST could win. I think I would favor OKST at 149. 157 and Bailey 141 who knows if Bailey is healthy at 141 I would favor him.
  22. I need to see more of roman in stillwater against good guys before I say the scale is an issue for him. I think the issues at the olympics had more to do with how he was wrestling at the time than the scale but I could be completely off base.
  23. thought came to mind after roman beat cronin who would you guys pick out of RBY and Lilledahl right now? I lean Roman but it would be a super fun match.
  24. this seems to be the oklahoma state thread so Jax wins senior gold outscores opponents 30-0 beat former d1 guys Josh Kramer and Joey silva. Silva lost to suriano 3-2 at Pan am's last year I thought Jax looked really good. Lockett also won by tech in the finals over an olympian from last year. Was having a sort of tough match in his semi with a cuban until the guy tombstoned him and got dq'd. Zahid won easily as he should.
