  1. No. As a matter of fact, Kevin Dresser and his team will take on all comers. It doesn't matter if they are 4th string teammates because the Cyclones never back down! They will keep fighting down to The Last Chance!
  2. I’ll take that bet. I’ll even be so bold as to say it happens tomorrow night.
  3. Has Glory considered removing the arm to more effectively make 125? A bonus side effect is that Lee would not be able to run his patented arm bar tilt to half nelson series without both arms. Just thinking out loud here folks.
  4. I guess you could say Glory is a Lame duck
  5. When you go to double OT do they call it turn-outs or ride-outs? Folkstyle is inherently not about getting turns, it is about controlling your opponent for as long as possible. Come to the freestyle dark side if you want a superior product that actually punishes negative action.
  6. Yes AOC is the man but that’s a bridge too far even for this Illinois homer. AOC lost an early match and barely made AA on a torn ACL. Spencer Lee won a national title on a torn ACL. Twice.
  7. Couldn't help myself sorry
  8. Unless your name is Nick Suriano and when you are about to get ridden like a show pony in the NCAA finals they blow it dead and let you have a mulligan on your standup. Terrible call with regards to consistency because as @Scouts Honor mentioned, Riding Time = controlling time not turning time. Been waiting a few years to get that one off my chest.
  9. This has been confirmed but the name hasn't leaked yet. I hope that changes.
  10. Or shot by your teammate... 2014-15 2A Vincent Turk Lombard (Montini)
  11. Call me when a funded project pays for the light bill, groceries, and rent. That's the difference between athletes and acadmics - now athletes get a scholarship AND paid.
  12. Jimmy Clicksabon gets the convos going. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
  13. Snyder wasn't Hodge worthy. Absolute world beater, literally, but didn't light up the scoreboard or get pins. Maybe if there was a weight class comparable to what he has won his eight world medals in then he would have racked up more points/techs instead of having to treat each match as a seven minute weightlifting session...
  14. Cox and Yianni are very similar. Great champions, just not Hodge material. Personally, I would rather have senior world finals appearances than an age group MVP award for lighting up the scoreboard/racking up pins and I bet they feel the same.
  15. Yes they should. And that is why athletics should be seperated from academic institutions a la Canada. Death to the NCAA, even though it means a near-certain death of our sport as well.
  16. No one wants to get Burkwick-Bono'd. Yara and other Ivy competitors will be the exceptions to the new rule. You are going to start seeing kids enter the portal Every. Single. Year. even if they don't plan to leave. Coaches could leave at any point and could recruit over kids at any point, now the scales are tipped closer to being equally balanced.
  17. Dominance is a factor for Hodge. It is not designed to be a career achievement award.
  18. I hope Kevin Warren’s parting gift before leading Da Bears to a better stadium en route to a Super Bowl title is a memo to coaches before B1Gs regarding MFFs. Be sure to email his office encouraging as much.
  19. How many years until Carr starts residency? And is there truth to the rumor he is being mentored by one Dr. Mike Kemerererererer?
  20. Nolf is the best in my opinion because not only was he a generational talent (4 finals, 3 titles) but he also dominated. It took another even greater year from fellow generational talent Bo Nickal for Nolf to not at least get the senior year bump after Zain wrecked the field the prior two years. Not saying they were not deserving winners, but Nolf will be nothing more than fodder in a decade and that's a damn shame because he was as innovative, daring, dominant, and exciting as it got.
  21. Probably as high as Myles Martin that one time
  22. Draft Kings has put the O/U for number of shoes wiggled by Brands at 1.5 so I think I'm going to hammer the over
  23. There are not many schools that fit a criteria of Top 50 school AND urban scene. State College and Iowa City are not booming metro meccas, and neither is Ithaca, NY. I guess you could kind of argue Chapel Hill/Durham is an oasis in NC? NYU, Stanford, UT Austin, etc. are few and far between. Even Miami (FL) is #55 so wouldn't meet this criteria, and it's a fantastic school.
  24. Bunch of oiled up orange politicians. Print that.
