There is no reason to try to teach these concepts to any of these folks. Call dismissed.

FDR tried that it didn't work, revenue went up when they lowered taxes. If you can't understand the 99% example then there's no chance you can comprehend income elasticity or why raising taxes even when down at 35 to 40% could lower revenue.

And what is "fair share?" If a"fair share" exists then why do so many pay no tax on their income? If tax rate is 99% and you raise it to 100% will tax revenue go up or down? If tax rate is 1% and you lower it to 0% will tax revenue go up or down? This is to illustrate that there is always a point where lowering the tax rate will increase tax revenue and there's always a point where raising tax rate will increase tax revenue. If you don't know anything about income elasticity then you have no idea what you are talking about. Biden knows nothing about income elasticity thus when he says "fair share" ...

So the hat is still safe.

And don't forget him drawing down the SPR at political points in time to temporarily & artificially lower prices. And these decisions go totally contrary to the green agenda as the greens would want higher prices. High prices Memorial & Labor weekends etc. should mean more folks stay at home because can't afford to travel thus save the climate and planet correct?
