  1. There is an old saying... You can give a pig a book but he's not going to read it. He'll just eat it. Seems appropriate here.
  2. Or maybe not. Reading comprehenshion is a great thing. Unfortunately, not a lot of it anymore.
  3. I can only assume that the WSJ is part of that lying media machine that can't be trusted that I've heard so much about. Or very possibly as these such things often are, there is confusion in definition of terms. (I think that may be what WKN is trying to explain?) I'm just gonna bow out of this lest I am one of those people who just repeats stuff he doesn't understand or know.
  4. I know little about such things and have no problem admitting it. Maybe I should change my screen name to Financialknownothing. Knowing WKN's education, what he does for a living, and how thorough and insightful he is... well, I would think Curly, Larry, and Moe could take it from here. Hint, not all opinions are equal.
  5. I'm guessing that wherever these guys are from, there is a trailer park right next to the retirement community.
  6. Wow. Perhaps that says something about what you listen to? You do realize that one of the biggest problems in this country is exactly that? People giving traction to crap they've "heard" with no knowledge of the validity of it.
  7. Obviously the committee was unaware of the big moves the US and GB had been practicing.
  8. I'm like horsecrap. I've been all over. Went to Cornell in the early 70s. Post grad in Chicago. Lived between Lock Haven and State College for a number of years in the 80s. Went to matches at Thomas Fieldhouse and Rec Hall. Currently split time between The Finger Lakes, NY and just north of Williamsport. NC PA is a beautiful area. I simply don't like Bravo-Young's back-up strategy vs any high level competition. Actually, doesn't the "Millionaires" in all things Williamsport refer to the great wealth from logging 100+ years ago? Fascinating history and topography in the entire area. https://pawilds.com/asset/williamsport-millionaires-row/ So, where does Portajohn call home?
  9. Definitely not ready for "or". Bill and I are still working on the definition of "is". I'd love to see Vito beat both at NCAAs. Actually now that I think about it, I'd settle for him beating Bravo-Young. That would probably cover it.
  10. I can't help but wonder where all these goats are tied.
  11. Max Dean visits Bosley Hair Club and shows up at BIG10s with a Fabio-doo. He loses his only two matches at BIG10s. Cael shaves everybody else's head before NCAAs, but Dean refuses. Dean loses his only two matches at NCAAs, but PSU still has 6 champs and sets a new team points record. Cael waxes and polishes his head for the team pic. Kind of a reverse Samson thing. Beard wins 197.
  12. Sounds like more guys are going to make up lists. I look forward to seeing them.
  13. Everywhere has plusses and minuses. Food, parks, weather, entertainment, jobs, education, cost of living, etc. Choices have to be made.
  14. I think your problem is simple. You're too far away from NYC, lol. We're lucky in Upstate NY as far as pizza is concerned. You can almost always find good mom & pop pizza joints even in small towns. Even, PA, Joisey, and even CT. About the only good thing you can say about any of the chains is that you know what you're gonna get.
  15. Anyone know if Lane or Seymour is hurt? Or did Bailey simply beat them out at 125 for Lehigh?
  16. Just kidding. WKN is amazing. He not only is great at digging out and analyzing the data, he is the best I've ever seen at actually understanding data, drawing meaningful conclusions, and explaining it all to everyone. We're VERY lucky to have him "onboard".
