The technical set is more personal preference. They're two different styles of wrestling. Can't necessarily wrestle the same way at every weight class.

I think there's a distinction with greatest and most accomplished. They're not always synonymous with one another. Even on the women's side of things, the upper weights, especially the heaviest, gets generally panned. I think people tend to lean Maroulis due to her technique at a lower weight, which can seem generally more appealing. Adeline rips people's arms off, but isn't as quick comparatively. It's a great discussion to have either way.

Western State is currently known as Western Colorado University. Pretty solid D2 program traditionally. Hiram is currently a D3 school in Ohio that restarted the sport not that long ago. Tom Jarman coached at Northwestern for a while before finishing his career at Manchester. Recently passed away.

Fanbase doesn’t prefer a style as much as they prefer the college team-based system. You could change the style from folkstyle to amish rakefighting and there’s still a built in team component and tribalistic following that appeals to more people. Olympic sports don’t draw as well as professional sports - not because of their rule sets - but more people are going to dial in to watch North Carolina or Texas anything over Team USA. There’s varied rule sets internationally in a lot of different sports vs. a U.S. domestic version. The U.S. pro sport (save soccer) will almost always outdraw an Olympic-type of comparative event.

Not Necessarily The News was funny as a kid, but the subject material was definitely above my head at the time. I remember laughing at a lot of the cutaway gags or voice overs that didn’t match the actual clips. Just some good ol’ basic comedy.
