Yeah, it’s a niche-ish sport. If you didn’t do it, you’re probably not going to watch it regularly. It sucks but it true.
The way to get more viewers is to get more participants and options to train, growing the sport grows the audience.
My biggest gripe with flo is that they have constant typos- I’ll proofread while at work for $15 an hour, if anyone at flo cares about grammar punctuation and sentence structure.
Very small school, being in PA I’m hopeful they will stick around with all the talent and competition to be had in state.
I will be happy for the news, rather than pessimistic for their future.
Yeah this has to be the most expensive wrestling facility in North America. Purdues room is nice-ish and has been getting improvements, but it’s still just in a dungeon in the fieldhouse.
Yeah, there probably isn’t a room in the world more competitive than Penn State/NLWC, so it probably is a shock for all these guys who are used to outclassing everyone going in and fighting every day.
Basch is pretty full of himself and proud of everyone he “knows”
I've also made this gripe before, but there’s always too much noise going on- whether it be Willie sucking his lips and snotting or some background clunking, I can’t stand it.
I had a friend that was graduated but had a year of eligibility and was contacted by a (freshman, as of last year) wrestler at okie state. Said “blah blah blah wrestling is king here, blah blah blah we have $100k for you if you come”
such a weird time for college athletics
I don’t know why all programs wouldn’t want to help each other in terms of longevity, but I fear you are right.
I have a feeling Cael would cut 76!programs as long as there was still one program for them to beat and become national champions.
Transfer come in, transfers come out. I don’t see this affecting much about the college wrestling landscape other than we will have a lot of people repping a lot of different school.

this is actually a solid article that they put a lot into.
these companies can make money on more sports than they do. They just lack the effort imo.
