  1. Iowa would win 4 out of 6 actually. Caliendo > Kasak Mesenbrink > Kennedy Haines > Arnold Ferrari > Ryder Ferrari > Barr Keuter > Mirasola
  2. Caliendo 157 Kennedy 165 Arnold 174 Ferrari 184 Ferrari 197 Keuter HWT That is a back half that could rival/beat Penn State.
  3. Iowa posters say Caliendo is actually a small 165 pounder and could make 157. Not sure how that's possible when Caliendo is pretty tall and built like Adonis.
  4. So where does Kennedy go? I can't see him content to ride the pine after finishing 4th in the country.
  5. Long tagged as an underperformer Patrick finished 4th at 174 this year - wrestling well above seed. I think he has earned the starting spot next year as Iowa's 174 pounder. However, with Gabe Arnold also tabbed for this weight and Angelo Ferrari manning 184 how does this play out? Could Kennedy or Arnold drop to 165?
  6. And no team has more than 2 champions…
  7. Isn’t this also true of other college sports, like football and basketball?
  8. Clutch beyond his years. Should be a multi-time champ.
  9. Yes, past accomplishments are no longer considered.
  10. Didn't VT get screwed over by another school a few years back too?
  11. Or the Most Falls award at the NCAAs?
  12. One is slated to start at HWT next year. Why would he leave?
  13. JJ is projected at 174...maybe he can start to fill Starocci's shoes.
  14. I nominate @Wrestleknownothing for his delightful statistical analysis, charts and graphs.
  15. What are the other alternatives?
  16. Anyone know anything about him?
  17. Rename it "The Gable Beater"
  18. Yes, the win over Gable basically makes all the other Hodge criteria fly out the window...
  19. Interesting that Wyatt has the lowest bonus percentage
  20. Merkles and spladles all day...Ono is doomed!
  21. Oh Bartlett, he's not much of a tournament scorer though.
  22. I don't Ono to score backpoints against someone or earn many riding time points. However, I think given his strength and skills and Penn State's coaching it will be rare that he gets dominated on top and can't stand up and escape.
  23. Penn State loses Starocci and Kerk, 34.5 team points in total. Nebraska loses 22.5 (Lovett) + 7.5 (Smith) = 30 team points in total
  24. Actually you're about 3 guys away. Penn State beat Nebraska by 60 team points. A national champ scoring lots of bonus is good for about 24 team points, so you'll need at least 3 guys (2 of which need to be Hodge contender level guys) to make up those 60 points.
