The victim withdrew her suit probably for a multitude of reasons just like a majority of rape victims never report. Trump is no stranger at throwing money at people to get them to be quite so that's another possibility along with all the other dangers of bringing millionaires to court, don't act so naïve. Asylum is a legal way of immigration it doesn't matter if you think its chaos or not, it is a legal way of immigrating here. I believe the main point of contention with the whole laptop story is the fact that is that the owner of a laptop repair store came out and said it had all these heinous stuff including CP and never gave it to the authorities, only other right wingers who also were never able to publish or prove its contents.

I think when an entire industry does everything in its power to not punish bad apples it does kind of define the whole industry. Qualified Immunity, the fact lawsuits are paid out by the tax payer and not offending police officer, and Police Unions are the reason there are bad apples
