  1. Serious question you think that taking away regulating agencies such as fda and osha is a good thing for we the people? Because you know what happened before that right? Upton Sinclair does
  2. I’m saying it’s incredibly stupid and dangerous for the SC to overturn chevron because congress is bought and paid for by corporations. Congress doesn’t know what they are doing, look at the debt. Now instead of educated and experienced people leading these agencies wnd interpreting the laws congress will and they are all paid for. Like i said look out for the asbestos in water and no more work safety regulations
  3. I’m sure taking away regulating powers away from industry experts and giving them to people who believe things such as Jewish space lasers and people who were elected without even knowing the 3 branches of government isn’t going to cause massive problems
  4. Guy who backs trump on everything does has no problems with water gate lmao of course
  5. All hail king Biden thanks to the Supreme Court
  6. Did you read the ruling? The SC used the words “absolute immunity” lmao
  7. The president did not have “absolute immunity” before this ruling. That is giving a government official literally more power than had before it’s comical you can’t see that is big government lol
  8. It’s going to be hard to argue that trump holding classified documents at mar a lago is an official act that doesn’t help him personally lmao
  9. The Supreme Court saying the president now has “absolute immunity” instead of “qualified immunity” is giving him more power and believe it or not that goes against the concept of small government :0
  10. We are the party of law and order!!! Oh wait our guys a convicted felon? Nvm Back the blue! Except for the fbi defund them! my body my choice!! Except for women wanting to get abortions Lock her up!!! We shouldn’t use the legal system to go after political opponents we are the party of small government! Gives the president the most power anyone has ever had in this country they say one thing and mean other
  11. Same thing as a ruiling
  12. There is no wording about congress at all regarding an official act. Official act" for the purposes of Section 201(b) and (c) is defined to mean: "Any decision or action on any question, matter, cause, suit, proceeding or controversy, which may at any time be pending, or which may by law be brought before any public official, in such official's official capacity, or in such official's place of trust or profit.” https://www.justice.gov/archives/jm/criminal-resource-manual-2044-particular-elements in the ruling they just use the words “ core constitutional power” but according to this ruling the president has immunity so he could theoretically sign an executive order giving him extra powers and legally there’s nothing could be done because that had nothing to do with congress it was done by executive In theory Biden could sign an EO suspending habeas corpus and that’s within his new immunity rights
  13. I think it’s more so that trumps lawyers argued that assassinating a political rival is an official act and now the sc rules that as an official act is immune to law.just using the same arguments trumps lawyers used for this
  14. They also stated that the plebes who are experts in their fields are no longer qualified to regulate government agencies such ans the fda and osha, only people who are elected like those who couldn’t name the 3 branches of the government. Asbestos in water and child labor are back on the menu for us plebes gotta love it
  15. When the party of small government applauds at giving the government even more power
  16. What would you call it when a leader gets a dangerous amount of power and is unable to be held accountable?
  17. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor asked Sauer, “If the president decides that his rival is a corrupt person and he orders the military to assassinate him, is that within his official acts to which he has immunity?” “That could well be an official act,” Sauer responded. what is the much broader context that trumps lawyers were using?
  18. This decision opens a can of worms. Trumps lawyers literally argued that political assassinations could be views as official acts so why are you acting that it is an impossibility? Theoretically this does in fact make the president a monarch because he has immunity with “ official acts” Biden could go ahead and have the fbi lock up trump for any reason and say it’s an official act. Biden could say is suspending all elections as an official act. It’s not about R v D it’s about recognizing this is no good lol
  19. An official act is going to be whatever the lawyers say is an official act we have seen this happen before in other countries…
  20. So Biden can not be prosecuted for the border stuff like everyone’s calling for now since they were all official acts correct?
  21. Conversely trumps lawyers argued that ordering an assignation of a political opponent would be an official act, Biden has an opportunity to try something
  22. The court really didn’t rule on anything they just are punting it because it was presumed every president has immunity. Now they will need to distinguish in courts what they believe is official and unofficial acts. In my opinion the overturning of chevron and the fact that the SC ruled that they can receive kickbacks for rulings present far greater implications for the country as a whole than this case
  23. how was he not a co defendant in the law suit?
  24. the right when bill gates and bill clinton are on epsteins list: LOCK THEM UP THOSE PEDOPHILES the right when Trump is on epsteins list, mutliple photos of them and ghislane maxwell together, and was listed as a co defendant on a child rape case: he did nothing wrong
  25. I thought everyone on here was a judicial system genius thanks to the trump trial. the law suit was still filed, she withdrew for whatever reason we will never know but the guy is known to pay hush money so. The fact that it was withdrawn does not change the fact that he was named as a co defendant. the legal filings are all still there as documentation.
