What about the Christian Laettner from 1992. He was a college player at the time. He made the dream team. I don't believe Laettner was in the top 40 of all available players when he was selected. What the heck. He got picked over Shaq and Mourning. Women's basketball at any level hasn't had much of a following until last year. So here is a golden opportunity to grow women's basketball at all levels. Sometimes you have to do what the better good for the whole. The WNBA which is heavily subsidized by the NBA have been struggling for support, relevancy and higher wages for players. Some of the WNBA payers seem to be very jealous of Caitlin Clark and the attention she is getting. They are acting like children with excessive fouling and behavior in general. The most popular women's basketball player in the world at any level is Caitlin Clark. The last 2 years while in college every venue Caitlin played at was sold out. Now in the WNBA were ever she plays the attendance is way up. The Fever has already surpassed their home attendance from the entire season from last year. So now the Olympic coach or committee decides keep Caitlin off the team. Had Caitlin been on a decent WNBA team her numbers would be much higher. Other teams would not be able to spend so much time concentrating on Caitlin. Caitlin is figuring it out though. When her teammates elevate their play, her numbers will go up. I think the Olympic coach or committee are missing a golden opportunity for women's basketball.

Putin had plans to go into Ukraine for years. He just needed an opening to implement his plans. The minute Joe was elected he put his plans into effect. Trump made it clear to Putin to cool his jets.
