I'm begging you to start googling things you see on twitter. Here's an article breaking down the misleading chart he's working from in the video: https://www.carbonbrief.org/factcheck-what-greenland-ice-cores-say-about-past-and-present-climate-change/ "This graph is misleading for a number of reasons. First, the x-axis is mislabelled. In fact, it should say “Years before 1950”, rather than “Years before present (2000 AD)”. The GISP2 ice core only extends up to 1855 – 95 years before 1950. This means that none of the modern observational temperature period overlaps with the proxy reconstruction. (Easterbrook’s graph shows the uptick in the final 100 years or so of the record – shown in red – incorrectly indicating that it is the observational temperature period.)" "Scientists reconstructing past Greenland temperatures now use estimates from many different ice cores, which reduces the uncertainties associated with any single one and gives a more accurate picture of changes over Greenland as a whole. Alley made this point explicitly, telling Revkin: “So, what do we get from GISP2? Alone, not an immense amount. With the other Greenland ice cores… and compared to additional records from elsewhere, an immense amount… Using GISP2 data to argue against global warming is, well, stupid, or misguided, or misled, or something, but surely not scientifically sensible.”

This is the guy who is famous for saying that climate scientists are making it up for research money, but his hundreds of thousands in payments from and investments in the mining industry "don't affect his beliefs."

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/2/29/dozens-killed-injured-by-israeli-fire-in-gaza-while-collecting-food-aid "Reporting from occupied East Jerusalem, Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith said the Israeli military “initially tried to pin the blame on the crowd” saying that dozens were hurt as a consequence of being crushed and trampled when aid trucks arrived. “And then, after some pushing the Israelis went on to say that their troops felt threatened, that hundreds of troops approached their troops in a way they posed a threat to them so they responded by opening fire,” Smith added." "The mass shooting was the latest instance of systematic attacks on hungry people waiting for scraps of food. Over the past few days, Palestinians gathered in large groups waiting for aid trucks on Salah al-Din Street near Gaza City have been shot at by Israeli forces, said Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, reporting from Rafah in the enclave’s south."

Reported massacre at a food aid station in Gaza. IDF opened fire on the crowd. Reports saying 100 dead, several hundred wounded. We'll wait for official numbers. IDF is saying the crowd rushed the line and the soldiers felt threatened and opened fire. As famine and disease continue to spread, this situation will continue to worsen with no ceasefire.

I still don't get the conservative Putin cheerleading. Do you think it's good that Putin invaded Ukraine? Shouldn't we all be concerned when a nuclear power invades sovereign neighbors?

https://www.nationalreview.com/2024/02/the-link-between-age-and-conservatism-is-breaking/ Interesting article showing Millennials and Gen Z aren't getting more conservative as they age like previous generations. You guys have any theories? I have one! (hint: they're the first generations to grow up without extensive exposure to lead paint and gasoline)

No, intersex people have a different combination of chromosomes, such as XXY. If you want to go off chromosomes, there are at least 10 sexes discovered so far. -
they needed all that energy to restart biden’s heart

one of the biggest failures by the dems on this is they let conservatives frame the debate around fairness. it’s not about fairness. it’s about what’s best for the country as a whole. and that might mean someone who doesn’t go to college pays $10 a year in taxes to fund someone who does. why? because that’s what society is about. working together for the betterment of the whole. education is an investment in your citizens and ultimately your work force. most of the rest of the world understands that. you all are so worried about people not having to pay back loans because it’s “not fair” to consider that removing the economic burden from those people can be good for all of us. They can spend more in the economy, start businesses, have children, etc…

same. i just wouldn’t kill twice as many civilians to do it.
-
I think we should hold Israel to a higher standard than the terror group, but that's just my opinion.
-
If soldiers are included in the 30k dead, then yes, you're right. That's still an abysmal ratio.
-
estimated hamas fighters - 30-40k - call it 35k current civilian death count - around 30k so if we go with 35k fighters, that's 105k dead.
-
Even if these estimates are true, that's a 3-1 civilian to fighter casualty rate. If they do ever wipe out Hamas, based on this pace, they'll kill around 100k civilians in 18 square miles of land.

And they can all reverse executive orders by passing laws through congress! You know, how our government is supposed to work!

3 of the 4 groups of loan forgiveness recipients were covered in that contract: 1) PSLF - what I posted above 2) 20 years of Income Driven Repayment payments - also included in the contract. You make your income based payments for 20 years and if there's any left it's forgiven 3) Permanent disability - included in the contract. The fourth is for people who were part of a major class action lawsuit against more than 100 for-profit schools who committed widespread fraud. Biden really isn't adding anything new. His admin is just processing the paperwork that they're supposed to. The reason it seems new is that Devos' department under Trump was letting the claims sit unprocessed to avoid paying them out. Sometimes they would process them, acknowledge their validity, but then put $0 for the relief amount. It was insane lol.

Trump invoked Title 42, part of his executive authority. Courts prevented Biden from lifting it for a while. We really gonna make the argument that the court system is unfair to republicans? lol It's like their main power hold in the country.

This is included in the MPN signed by every federal student loan recipient: "Public Service Loan Forgiveness A Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program is also available. Under this program, we will forgive the remaining balance due on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 payments (after October 1, 2007) on those loans under certain repayment plans while you are employed full-time by a qualifying employer. The required 120 payments do not have to be consecutive. Qualifying repayment plans include the REPAYE Plan, the PAYE Plan, the IBR Plan, the ICR Plan, and the Standard Repayment Plan with a 10-year repayment period. Note: Although the Standard Repayment Plan with a 10-year repayment period is a qualifying repayment plan for PSLF, to receive any loan forgiveness under this program you must enter the REPAYE Plan, the PAYE Plan, the IBR Plan, or the ICR Plan, and make the majority of the 120 payments under one of those plans." Hope this clears things up for you! edit: you can read the whole contract here! https://studentaid.gov/mpn/subunsub/landing

And the courts have also blocked some of Biden's stuff. Sounds like you're starting to come aboard my abolish the Supreme Court take!
-
They're not complaining in this case. They chose the career with this program already established. It was part of the calculus. Sorry you don't like it.

Trump revoked some Obama executive orders. You know this stuff is public information right? lol
