I'd be fine meeting for coffee or a beer... would prefer a different spot. What would I witness at the square?

True concerning Vak. That is not necessarily true for 'they.' The leaked evidence against Hunter seems relatively accurate and damning... a person cannot be shamed much more than Hunter has already been... so assume Hunter's team is in damage control. Why would 'they' offer Hunter to testify in public?

Boyd never threatened to score. Shooting from space without much of a setup. First period. Lovett hit a snap-down setup into an outside head single-leg. Elevated the single-leg and then had poor technique in an attempt to finish. Boyd didn't mule kick... rather kept his body squared, and his leg came free when Lovett switched from two arms on Boyd's leg to one arm on the leg and a long reach attempt to Boyd's head. Lovett seemingly could have shot in again as when he would change levels and fake step shot, Boyd didn't seem to respond. Second Period. Lovett stands up. Lovett hits the Granby as Boyd attempts a mat return and escapes. Lovett captures a front headlock off a lazy shot attempt from Boyd. Lovett switches to double underhooks as Boyd comes to his feet. Boyd backs away hard and clears the double under position after Lovett attempts an inside trip. The inside trip attempt was too late as Boyd had already backed out to an almost clear position. Third Period. Boyd picks neutral. Lovett took the first shot. Lovett slowly backs away throughout the final minute and is finally warned for stalling at the end of the period. Boyd could have been given a stalling point with 'activity' stall calls if done by the book. Lovett took one kind of legit shot and one sloppy shot. Boyd took three bad shots and two almost shots. I have no problems with the no-call, given Boyd's overall lack of engagement in the first two periods... and he never engaged aggressively, even when trailing, even when shooting.

Seems obligatory to start Cy Hawk threads with this video moving forward.

Tragedy and shame. Must watch.

He won the Cuba National School Games several times [ 2012, 2013, *2014 (15y), 2015 (16y), and 2016 (17y) ] as documented in the Cuba source. *Another source. The Cuba source was started in 2017 by Mireya63 and his birthday was documented as Sep 10, 1999.

Perhaps. It may have been enough to know he was winning the neutral position. Known knowns strategy. Or perhaps he scouted that Feldkamp is decent on top (many wins by falls and major).

My thought process... Who is Anne Hidalgo and why does Anne not like free speech? Is Anne being criticized? Is she leftist? Authoritarian? Socialist party rep where middle-class citizens are unhappy and critical of her policies (taxes, cars, etc). What is Anne's opinion? Has she talked about free speech in the past? Why is she leaving X? General research on 'free speech' came up empty. There is some hypocrisy about Charlie Hebdo concerning free speech. Her tweet on leaving X gives context to her criticisms while giving zero acknowledgment of positive contributions. She doesn't like negative speech. https://twitter.com/Anne_Hidalgo/status/1729079532240384196 What about France, in general, concerning free speech? France's government is more involved with regulating speech than America's, although both governments are getting closer to having a Ministry of Truth . France. There is a fine line between challenging the status quo (politically incorrect, etc.) and breaking the law. Why should I care that Anne has given up on Twitter? I don't unless this decision somehow impacts my country folk or the continued local service for X. What should I care if American leaders gave up on Twitter? The leader has actively demonstrated they do not want direct communication with the public. Depending on who it is, it is inconsequential. I don't follow any mayors in any cities. If Ron Paul was running for president and it was him, he would lose my vote for 2024.

Grok. Tell me about the importance of free speech. Be vulgar. In short, free speech is essential for a healthy society, and it's worth fighting for, even if it means putting up with some *d*uckery from time to time. Must read in full:https://x.com/imPenny2x/status/1728913896424288750?s=20

^^^ looks like common ground to wait for confirmation.

His hand was down and I think control was arguably there through the sequence as well. See this photo:

You have a valid point about the winner sitting on a lead. However, the losing wrestler seems more inclined to attack since they likely will not escape their way to a tie. Will fewer matches go to overtime?

Thank you! Makes sense now. I didn't see Brands or Dresser or know who the guy was in the corner. The announcer was saying that Gaitan was looking up at his corner... but he was looking at... maybe Bobby Telford (I had to look him up). I see Brands off to the side.
-
Someone send the article or tweet later. Dresser says, "We lost our head in the corner. We didn't do a good job in the corner" and does not elaborate. The play-by-play guy speculates coach thought his guy had the riding time rather than PK. It looks to me like the ISU coach is signaling to release PK in the gif. His hands keep going up, rather than down or in a fist/squeeze or anything that might signal 'hold him.' Speculation on my part.

IMO. Both wrestlers were gassed, and Ech nearly exhausted his on that last move... looked make or break to me. The match was over after the no-call. They were not sputtering like PK but on fumes.

Would you care had the referee called a TD? Art. 12. Reaction Time. The amount of time a wrestler is provided by the referee to react to individual scoring or wrestling situations. Reaction time is provided in all situations except for locked hands calls down on the mat. Reaction time is determined by each individual referee and is described only as a period that is not instantaneous https://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/WR24.pdf

I missed that... but I believe ya. How is that mistake possible across the head coach, assistant coach, and Gaitan... considering how the match had gone... and the viewable time clock... and Dresser is paid $300K+ annually? ...and Dresser not challenging so many situations...

In live wrestling and with between-period position selection, what is your opinion on the wrestler making their own decision versus following the coach's instruction? Captain of your own ship or fall in line?

1:39 13-7 (cut) 0:38 13-10 (1 minute to secure take down) 0:35 14-10 (3 seconds to cut) 0:15 14-13 (20 seconds to secure take down) So he must return to his feet and secure a takedown in 15 seconds. As slow as both were moving... there'd be 10 seconds to secure the takedown after the cut. To your point, we'll never know.
