In college, an acquaintance set me up to meet a girl by having his girlfriend bring her along. A buddy mentioned that she had previously given oral sex to several guys one after another. I stayed sober, did not drink or offer her anything, watched part of a movie with her, kept things non-physical, and dropped her off at her place. She was also sober. A couple of days later I heard she was saying I had given her a date-rape drug and taken advantage of her. I denied it and was vouched for. Another acquaintance later said she had made a similar claim about him. What does this say about some women?

Biologists (science) agree that a new human organism is a member of the species Homo sapiens that begins at fertilization. Some state laws (and federal law) treat a fetus as a person. Whether a fetus counts as a “person” with the same rights as a born person depends on the context... legal rules, moral views, culture, and ...context. It is inaccurate to make a blanket statement that a fetus is not a person. Why else would abortion be taboo?

We have 1 million different women involved with terminating humans each year, preventing what could have been. Hopefully we both can be thankful that science is finding ways to artificially nurture the fetus much earlier in its development.

Did you read her words before your first post on this topic? My wife and daughter hadn't. And then they didn't believe it initially because its not what the news reported. All I said, was did you see what the girl had to say? They both jumped to victim blaming, and then they read the girls texts and shut up, thouroughly confused. Which led into the conversation where I reminded them that many boys and men are and will behave this way, especially from 8th grade through the college years.

What are your thoughts on Palmer's message? Capital punishment should be done in public so regular people can clearly see what the government is doing when it takes a life, and so everyone stays accountable for that decision.

I have never thought about youth guilt of this magnitude outside of two questions: What are the ethics of killing youth combatants in war Why are dogs that bite euthanized (do they know what they have done, can they be contained or changed) --- its related... Legally the youth cannot face capital punishment outside of combat. So I don't need to give an opinion on it one way or the other.
