  1. Are those guys trying to get on the ballot too? I missed that.
  2. I think people confuse passion with anger sometimes. Just because he is not afraid to mix it up occasionally does not make me view him as angry. Sometimes we agree on stuff and sometimes we disagree. Sometimes he convinces me to reconsider and sometimes I convince him likewise.
  3. I would be tempted to swap Dake and Taylor. I am on the fence whether an Olympic gold is a bigger deal than a world gold.
  4. "highest Twitter usage since February" is another way of saying "we haven't yet matched our February usage."
  5. Better source https://www.instagram.com/p/CuiR5ucviw4/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  6. I don't recall seeing another wrestler in this match
  7. What do you mean by this?
  8. No, they were not haggling over a price. Musk offered a weed joke based price (haha, wink emoji). Twitter's board took the price as quickly as they possibly could. Musk signed a binding merger agreement at that price while famously not doing any due diligence. Then when the market dropped, he tried backing out of the deal. He did not try re-negotiating the price. For further reading on his lack of due diligence efforts: https://www.thebrackengroup.com/blog/life-science-due-diligence-lessons-from-elon-musk-twitter
  9. Doesn't start until the 13th
  10. Thank goodness. I thought you were going to say Dogecoin. A gold-backed, currency by committee has zero chance at becoming a reserve currency.
  11. And in your fantasy what is the replacement reserve currency?
  12. What is your obsession with something that is not happening?
  13. 2024 tickets have not gone on sale yet. When they do a large portion are allocated to schools who allocate them in turn to athlete families, and boosters. Sometimes you can find teams that did not qualify a wrestler (or very few) and get access to their tickets. Though you may have to join their booster club and make a contribution. Alternatively, tickets will be made available by the NCAA via ticket services. These can be a little pricey, but there is always something available. Finally, there will be people selling tickets on a variety of message boards like the On3 and Rivals boards for various teams. Along with this board. But beware of scammers in these unvarified waters.
  14. The right needs some work, but that left is deadly.
  15. Most importantly, the people with the deepest knowledge, Fox executives, did not want to see the case tried because they thought their defense was weak and that the suit was not frivolous.
  16. Dominion is majority (or perhaps wholly) owned by an investment firm. They did the return calculation on their investment and said thank you very much.
  17. In his text messages that were part of the discovery process in the Dominion lawsuit he admitted that he knew the narrative he was pushing of a stolen election was a lie.
  18. I know you didn't ask me, but I don't view the Musk/Twitter acquisition through a political lense. I am in it for the humor and entertainment. It has elements of a greek tragedy centered on hubris. Will his hubris cost him? Or will he pull this off? Musk makes it impossible to look away. He basically decided to buy Twitter on a whim because it seemed fun. Hell, his offer price was even a weed joke. You can argue that he bought it because as its greatest user he loved it more than its creator, and certainly more than it executives at the time. Then when he realized he overpaid, or when he got bored, he tried to back out of the deal in the most hilarious way possible by declaring that the mDAU was inflated and he was somehow decieved. That he famously stated he was buying Twitter to get rid of the bots kinda invalidates the argument that he didn't know about the bots, but more importantly the argument would never have worked as a matter of contract law. I was even really hoping he would refuse to pay up, because there is a concept in merger law called specific performance where the court could force him to buy Twitter. Saying that on paper and making someone buy a company against their will are two very different things (though it has happened) and it would have been highly entertaining to see Musk's reaction. Instead, I have to rely on Musk overpaying, and then instantly going out of his way to decrease the value of the asset he just bought for my entertainment. I say. I say bravo, sir, bravo.
