  1. Which is why most of social media is a hellscape. Why would you want that here?
  2. See? This is what I am talking about. I am here for the entertainment value. Musk is suing Wachtell Lipton, the law firm Twitter used to force him to close the merger because he thinks Twitter paid them too much. His suit includes the following statement: "Wachtell was one of six large law firms that represented Twitter in connection with the merger litigation, a relatively straightforward breach of contract dispute in which Twitter sought to hold the Musk Parties to the Merger Agreement and to close the transaction. While there were important factual disputes, there were not novel or difficult questions of law involved, nor did the litigation require any special skills beyond that which Twitter could have procured by paying hourly rates to many other reputable law firms with experience litigating in the Delaware Chancery Court, including those hired to work alongside Wachtell." Too funny that Musk's lawyers say Musk is easy to beat in court by saying that in court.
  3. Are those guys trying to get on the ballot too? I missed that.
  4. I think people confuse passion with anger sometimes. Just because he is not afraid to mix it up occasionally does not make me view him as angry. Sometimes we agree on stuff and sometimes we disagree. Sometimes he convinces me to reconsider and sometimes I convince him likewise.
  5. I would be tempted to swap Dake and Taylor. I am on the fence whether an Olympic gold is a bigger deal than a world gold.
  6. "highest Twitter usage since February" is another way of saying "we haven't yet matched our February usage."

  8. I don't recall seeing another wrestler in this match
  9. What do you mean by this?
  10. No, they were not haggling over a price. Musk offered a weed joke based price (haha, wink emoji). Twitter's board took the price as quickly as they possibly could. Musk signed a binding merger agreement at that price while famously not doing any due diligence. Then when the market dropped, he tried backing out of the deal. He did not try re-negotiating the price. For further reading on his lack of due diligence efforts: https://www.thebrackengroup.com/blog/life-science-due-diligence-lessons-from-elon-musk-twitter
  11. Doesn't start until the 13th
  12. Thank goodness. I thought you were going to say Dogecoin. A gold-backed, currency by committee has zero chance at becoming a reserve currency.
  13. And in your fantasy what is the replacement reserve currency?
  14. What is your obsession with something that is not happening?
  15. 2024 tickets have not gone on sale yet. When they do a large portion are allocated to schools who allocate them in turn to athlete families, and boosters. Sometimes you can find teams that did not qualify a wrestler (or very few) and get access to their tickets. Though you may have to join their booster club and make a contribution. Alternatively, tickets will be made available by the NCAA via ticket services. These can be a little pricey, but there is always something available. Finally, there will be people selling tickets on a variety of message boards like the On3 and Rivals boards for various teams. Along with this board. But beware of scammers in these unvarified waters.
  16. The right needs some work, but that left is deadly.
  17. Most importantly, the people with the deepest knowledge, Fox executives, did not want to see the case tried because they thought their defense was weak and that the suit was not frivolous.
