  1. Good choice of words. There does seem to be a certain religious fervor here for calling everything a duck.
  2. Some big differences between Intermat's and Flo's 125 rankings this deep into the season. The biggest difference is Brandon Kaylor. Flo has him at 5, Intermat at 15. That big diff is probably caused by their second biggest diff. Flo has Troy Spratley at 11 while Intermat has him at 20. With Kaylor's pinfelling Spratley Sunday, Spratley's rank seems to be the pivot point for Kaylor.
  3. Updated about an hour ago. Ramos, Stanich, Barnett, Davis
  4. The power of the data compels me.
  5. You are not mis-remembering. Two coaches left him off. The story from the NCAA was that they were using an old list, or some such. There was someone else who was also affected, though I don't recal who. It really illustrated that the coaches do not place as high a priority about getting it right for other teams as they do for their own. Which is also an argument for you suggestion of using Intermat, Flo, etc.
  6. It has to be Michael Blockhus. Takes out #2 and #3 at the same time #1 looks vulnerable.
  7. It is a shame that the Republican primary is now down to Trump and the lady who was in charge of security at the capitol on Jan. 6.
  8. I am unsure about even an AA. I took a quick look at the #1 ranked wrestlers in D2 at each weight. They have very few matches against D1 comp, but even when they do the results are not great. They typically wrestle non-starters and typically do not win. Most of the wins come against guys ranked in the 100 to 300 range on wrestlestat. The one notable win I found was Ty McGeary, the West Liberty 184, with a 14-4 MD over Clarion's Cameron Pine, who is ranked 33 in D1.
  9. Define well. Is it beating a VMI, UTC, or similar? Or is it beating a mid-tier D1 school in a dual? Or is it scoring points at NCAAs (i.e. better than 0-2)? Or is it having an AA? Or some combination?
  10. Be sure to let him know
  11. You must be new around here. This is a @Jimmy Cinnabon specialty. He won't post in someone else's thread. He always has to start his own thread even when there is one that already exists.
  12. I talked to him in Serbia and he said he had never wrestled freestyle before so was still learning. Doing that on the senior circuit can be tough.
  13. How I feel every time I post on indianamat
  14. Welcome. I came over from indianamat too.
  15. Another flaw in this survey is that it is not at all representative of the country. They defined elite based on population density. There is no connection between the two. And there are only 8 metropolitan areas in the US with a population density of 10,000+ per mile. Given that I could find nothing detailed about the methodology, I am sure the methodology is crap.
  16. I am saying the opposite. Unlike offthemat, I took the time to dig up the questions that were asked. And based on the response reported, I am highly skeptical of this survey. As I said multiple times in this thread, anyone who believes that more than 50% of any group, anywhere in the US thinks private A/C should be banned is not thinking critically. Accepting these results at face value is foolish. And foolish is what offthemat does best.
  17. Many points of failure, so they made a point to fail many times. Personally I love them.
  18. Close. Very close. Scott Moore finished fourth for PSU in 2003 and third for Virginia in 2004.
  19. And sorry Jimmy. Iowa does worse in these rankings. The new King of the NCAAs belongs to....Your Missouri Tigers Good news for PSU as they cling to top 10. Sanderson's job is safe for another year.
  20. I will not stand idly by while you besmirch the good name of dorks. I said good day, sir.
  21. At 141 the top 5 were unanimous
  22. Crooham, Woods, Lovett, O'Toole, and Keckeisen were unanimous choices.
  23. D1. I do not have any data outside of D1, unfortunately.
