I'll just say this....6 years ago, I slipped on a sheet of ice in a parking lot going in to order an award for a wrestling hall of fame banquet. My rotator cuff was torn beyond repair (never hurt it wrestling!) Even went thru surgery with a great surgeon.....couldn't fix it. So I sued....during the deposition, the owners of the building knew what happened, and lied during questioning/the deposition right to my face....would never have expected it...thought they were good people??? NOT. Fortunately, I was relentless....did lot's of videoing, investigating with my camera at that time of year and found the reason for the frozen ice right in front of the business door, and won my lawsuit...I'm still pissed though....will never get a workout in the same in my weight room. People do lie, even under oath....I'll stop right there.

Then there was the time, at Beat the Streets in New York......it was outside, the humidity was high and the mats got slick and David Taylor got seriously hurt....sometimes it's difficult to control the conditions, unless you can calculate it out and stay away from the possibility.

We can agree to disagree here, but did their careers even overlap, and Bruce only one NCAA title, and was just coming into his own at the end of Salman Hashimikov's career. Plus he never even competed in an Olympic Games. While I'm at it, another great one that I don't believe has been mentioned in this whole conversation is Makharbek Khadartzev!!!

Well, Andiev (that's the Soslan you are referring to) has 2 olympic gold, So does Bruce, and keep in mind, we didn't go to Moscow, Andiev has 4 world gold, and Bruce has 3 world gold, Andiev has one world silver, and Bruce has 3 world silver, as well as 3 world bronze.....oh I almost forgot.....throw in an Olympic silver and bronze for Bruce as well giving him world record 13 world and Olympic Medals.......you can't put Andiev (Soslan) a "tier" above Bruce!!!! I'm old enough, I watched Andiev....he's in my "film" library (World Cups) in Toledo...he was really good, but NOT a tier above Bruce. Medved was in a different era ......watched him too.....but I won't argue him.....12 world and Olympic medals ....10 gold. Fadz

Can't believe not one person has mentioned these "greats"........Sergei Belaglozov, Valentine Jordanov and then there is the great Arsen Fadzaev........

I get that, but that was a huge statement considering some of the coaching staffs out there just in the Big Ten alone. Then again, I wasn't totally considering the criteria here.

as a sidenote, Greg Wojciechowski and I are good friends, along with Terry Steiner, who is also going in. I will also tell you I have run or been on the board of a couple of different Hall of Fames. A total of 10 banquets/inductions so far, so it has almost become an expertise. Preparing for an upcoming banquet as we speak......working on the slideshow.....one of the last things to check off!!!
