  2. I want to add Michael Phelps to my short list of GOATS....that one is for WKN...lol Throw in Simone Biles too!
  3. I want to just let this year soak in first....enjoyed watching the Masters this weekend. Watching McIlroy sink that last put on 18 and then the very iconic walk to the club house to sign his scorecard.....embracing his friends, wife, daughter and more after 17 Masters and 11 attempts to complete the Grand Slam....the EMOTIONS....wow. This has to be in my top 15 most iconic sports moments/finishes of all-time....one of those was actually the state volleyball championship my daughter's senior year in high school. It's great to be alive in my lifetime to be able to have witnessed the likes of Nicklaus, Woods, Ali, Jordan, S. Williams, Sampras, Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, Brady....enough of those guys.....Medved, Belaglozov, B. Satiev, Tediashvili, Saduliev, Fadzaevand more. Add to that all the great music/genres......W. Nelson, Brooks, Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, McIntire (more of those where they came from), then there's the Beatles, Chicago, Journey, Foreigner, Beach Boys, Four Season, Lionel Ritchie, Four Tops, Temptations,....the list goes on and on. Then top it off with attending 46 NCAA Wrestling Championships, 40 in a row, and countless other events, World Cups, World Championships, Big Tens, State tournaments. Great to be alive. Next stop.....I'm going fishing!!
  4. I hope you're wrong, but I had thought that too.
  5. You know something....you're alright....lol.
  6. Lionel Ritchie .....Kennedy Center Award Winner....has been nominated for or won more awards than I can list here.
  7. Me too
  8. Sometimes I have this "music mentality", so when I saw "DID"......I'm think songs with a one word title, and the first one that popped into my mind was "Still"/Lionel Ritchie.....great song
  9. Greg was silver medalist in '84 GR, and has 2 silver and a bronze in freestyle.....will never forget his marathon OT match with Bill Scherr....no time limit that year and the match was almost 19 minutes long. https://www.flowrestling.org/video/5098670-1987-us-nationals-bill-scherr-vs-greg-gibson
  10. Chiparelli wasn't a 3 time champion...he finished 5-4-1. (The Baltimore Butcher)
  11. I think he's grown up/matured a lot..looking forward to see how he acts in Philadelphia.
  12. You've got my curiosity up now....lol. The details of the above story are great!!!
  13. I remember this well....I was sitting with Kelly's workout partner, and he said they had been working on that for sometime....he kept yelling "spladle, splade", and in my mind I thought "yea right!", and then it happened. After that, I became good friends with that guy....worked some wrestling camps with him....keeping his name anonymous.
  14. Wasn't pinned....but it got called.....official didn't know what consisted of shoulder blades. His shoulders were resting on Caldwells stomach/chest (spladle situation)
  15. After looking at this list again, I watch all but the first 3 guys wrestle more times than I can count...Midlands, Big Ten, NCAA, All-Star matches, duals.....my head is spinning.....lol. I'm a lucky dude!!
  16. Here's a complete list of all the 4 time Big Ten Champions....
  17. Remember, at one time we got no coverage....Big Ten, NCAA's....nothing.....it's getting better....."baby steps" I guess....we just have to keep putting our 2 cents in. You have coverage of Big12, Pac12, ACC now, but it's all split up, so to view it all you have to pay for it. But it's like I've said in defending Flo/Track. It costs a lot more to travel to, get tickets and lodging than it does to pay annual or monthly fees to view what interests you....same thing with high school state tournaments NFHS. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
