How do we solve the border issue in the US?

Then there is nothing to see. Blame Elon, there is another thread for that.

Just look here, even after the diagnosis many anti-woke, anti-vax people are saying the vaccine caused it. https://twitter.com/search?q=bronny vaccine&src=typed_query

The ballad of Bidenomics. The song: Rich Men North of Richmond
BobDole replied to Paul158's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
@Le duke made some good points, but here are a couple others. One of the bigger reasons for a trades shortage is the extreme push for kids to go to college in the 90's and 00's. Now that many of those electricians, plumbers, etc. are retiring you are seeing less and less of these people in the trades. The good thing is at least from my interactions with kids it seems there are many looking at trades now instead of college. COVID really changed a lot of things in the working society. There are way more work at home jobs now than ever. Many workers in the food industry were basically forced to starve or find a new line of work. Many found the latter and aren't going back to the food industry. The same goes for retail and other jobs of that nature. Now the McDonalds, Targets, etc are finding it hard to hire people because the good ones all moved on. The trades is the area I'm truly more concerned about as I'm more concerned with finding a competent and reasonable plumber than someone that can put a hamburger together. -

You are great at making everywhere you go insufferable. If people don't want to come here to talk about wrestling or even BBQing or how great Trump is because of YOU, then yes you need to go. As with your recent release people have seen how insufferable you can be and will continue to be! Plus I'm still waiting for my $1000 check you promised me like 10 years ago. The interest on it will be well worth the wait. -
What he did was as despicable as humanly possible. He went way beyond just saying things about the tragedy, he stalked and harassed the families for YEARS. There is ABSOLUTE certainty that he went further than "freedom of speech." Stalking and harassment is not included in free speech that you keep clamoring upon. On top of that defamation and slander is NOT included in free speech. Along with all the harassment and stalking he was saying the families were lying and calling them horrible people(to put it nicely). This was not a one time thing for him and on top of everything he PROFITED from the harassment he did on the families. I'm not sure how despicable of a human you need to be, but he sets the bar extremely high here.

He was found liable in a court of law and ordered to pay a substantial amount of money to the victims. However, just before the trial he moved his assets around in order to claim to not have enough to pay even a little bit. His apology was weak and he still to this day goes after those parents. He's not a good person no matter how "right" he seems to be with all his conspiracy theories. Pedal conspiracy theories all you want, but when you go after the families of children that are murdered you lose should lose everything you have ever had. There is a special place for him in the future.

No it won't.

Marketing is different and they haven't adjusted for the times. My kid knows more about a "sports" drink pushed by a YouTube douche than what a Twinkie is.

Our health care isn't free either. We pay a lot just for the policy, then have to pay until we reach the deductible. In the end you are paying $10,000+ before the insurance kicks in. This doesn't mean I want government run health care, but at this point I'm not sure what is worse.

When the same poster never addresses the topic at hand and just wants to deflect to a whataboutism it gets quite old. But of course poor Trump is indicted because people don't like him, let's lead with that story.
-
Your head is buried in the red sand so deep it is affecting you greatly. It's not worth even trying to explain anything to you because the only thing you care about is another whataboutism.
-
Whataboutism again... imagine that.
-
He doesn't play well with others to put it nicely.
-
Maybe the fact that he has created 14+ accounts.

Soon, relax....

You could make a book a million pages long on some of the "rules" that made no sense.

The ballad of Bidenomics. The song: Rich Men North of Richmond

To simply put it, he decided to have a tiff with someone and then proceeded to post annoyingly in response to everything that person said. When your sole purpose is to make this place unbearable then you will be sent to the Zoo. -

Sometimes we like to let the animals out to wreck havoc for sheet enjoyment of the zookeepers. Then we round them up and put them back in their cage. -
I don't think either side of this debate is as far from each other as many think. No one wanted to wear a mask No one wanted things shut down No one wanted to be cooped up with our family for however long it was! Social media combined with people having too much free time was a potent mixture that caused people to spread misinformation, scary stories, and everything else in between.

We tend to mix things we know now vs. what we knew then. At the time what we truly knew was limited and much like the guidelines changed at what seemed by the hour. The virus to this day still is very sporadic and attacks the old and weak more, but still will suck up a victim that we would deem healthy. More than anything the unpredictability of this virus is what drove the craze. Very true, not sure exactly if you are referring to mandatory masking and such or not. To be honest requiring masks in public during this time should not have been as big of a deal as it was. No one truly wants to wear a mask. At the same time if it helps a little bit then it shouldn't have been as big of a deal as it was. Not wrong there at all. I think this is where things were escalated to a new level. I can attest that the place I work was granted an exception and many places found the loophole to stay open. Some were not as lucky and many never reopened. As far as the kids, again agree completely. I cannot fathom being a coach that had to tell his baseball team there was no season or the modified graduation ceremonies that were held if at all. I think our schools found it way easier to go remote than to to find a way to get kids back in the building. One of the reasons I feel that lead to this that doesn't get discussed is how litigious the American society has become. I think schools and the state were more concerned with being sued than anything.

I don't disagree on the surface at all. However, there were so many unknowns and confusion that we were basically running around without much direction. To answer your questions in the best possible manner. I agree with the overall sentiment Bob, but why the mask craze? Because it did help with limiting exposure when wearing a proper mask and wearing it properly. Why the "stand 6 feet away"...not 5'11'' away, but 6 feet craze? Another "absolute" that we clung onto. It was meant to be something that you would generally look to to help limit exposure. I believe some of the early studies indicated that the droplets could carry approximately 6 feet and thus clearing that area would limit your exposure. And have people forgot about the not for more than 15 minutes thingy that made no sense?? Again, an absolute we clung to. I felt this was weird especially when it came to schools. This again was meant to help limit your exposure. For instance if I was sitting next to someone with COVID for 15 minutes vs. 2 hours, I would be more exposed to the virus if I was there for 2 hours. In all honesty the guidelines pushed were more to limit your exposure and not 100% prevent you from getting it. That is where we lost connection to these guidelines. Limiting the exposure was to hopefully keep people out of the hospitals that were at max capacity in some areas. Getting a smaller does of COVID gives your body a better chance of fighting it off without much help needed from a doctor or hospital.
