Mike Manta, who entered the portal from Sacred Heart, has popped back up on their 2027 roster.  I'm going to mark him as remaining at Sacred Heart.

Perhaps similar that AJ Ferrari rascal?  Did Manning really say "catch him if you can?"  😉

I trust your sources, we heard the same.

Pablo Macias from Cambell to Arizona Christian.

I have also noticed that most other portal reports have sort of given up, but I am still grinding for updates with zero connections and almost have it all complete.

Somewhat relevant, even though it is not wrestling.

My friend's son is a stud athlete and played for a smaller D1 school for two years.

Just transferred to a Big 12 school over the summer after listening to offers from several schools including Michigan, Arizona State, and Hawaii.  I think he really liked Michigan and they really liked him... but he was going to have to make up way too many credits to consider going to Ann Arbor- and this is coming from a fairly solid collegiate academic program  (and arguably the best academic HS in the country).  So the academic fit is a big part of some of these transfers.

This is unsurprising to me, as UMs admissions department often offers department credits for transfer credits, but not credits that fill specific needs, like an undergraduate writing requirement or your science credit with lab or whatever. So kids can transfer in and get their 20-40 credits but they would still be on track to graduate, just have to retake those needed courses and graduate with an extra 20 credits or whatever. I’ve seen this year in and year out with various transfer candidates at U of M with different sports, and have also had first hand experience with transferring credits to U of M and discussions with their admissions department.

Yea why do all that when you can just go to Western Michigan, get a degree easier and have just as good a football team…
