I hope we know about this before the seeds come out. Would be a bummer for a PJ-Taylor rematch in the semis to be the default final.

Cannon may not be #1 seed

A torn meniscus can be surgically repaired in one of two ways - the meniscus can be sewn back together or cleaned up and removed if not enough meniscus is left after the injury. It takes much longer to return if the meniscus is reattached. I had ACL surgery recently and had a torn medial meniscus and that is how the sports surgeon explained it to me as far as the meniscus goes.

Winner of Blaze/Davino should certainly be #1. They’ve both been more active and dominant than Byrd. Honestly, Byrd should be #3 behind the loser of that match.

Is "active" a seeding criteria?

At every high school seeding meeting I've been to, most coaches bring their athletes records, common opponents, and last year's placements, but there is always that one coach that for every one of his wrestlers he doesn't know any of that and just says stuff like he's "tough as nails", "goes really hard", "first year out but very athletic", "his cousin placed at state", etc.

Well if you are "tough as nails" and your cousin placed that oughta be a 1 seed.

Appreciate the info and hope the recovery goes well!

Not sure, but it should be. Are there any seeding criteria that favor Byrd?

He's undefeated ... beat everyone on the schedule.

... and he's tough as nails!

Maybe Blaze should have asked his coach to go to national duals where he could have wrestled Byrd and Davino if he wants a claim at the 1 seed

i am an idiot on the internet

And yet, Blaze still has as many or more quality wins while being considerably more dominant. Maybe Byrd should wrestle a little harder?

What's a "quality win?"

Make it any threshold you like. Byrd still doesn’t have more than Blaze. 🙂

But Blaze has those 4 "chicken outs."  Does one chicken out cancel say 4 quality wins?  🤔
