What in the world are you talking about ... did you miss breakfast this morning?

Currently this message board thinks Byrd has a 7% chance to win nationals... That would mean a fair value number would be to bet $100 on Byrd to win $1400.  Obviously those odds will never happen.  It's a general lack of respect for Byrd and what he has accomplished.  I did miss breakfast this morning but figured it was on topic and simple math.

I prefer pork to Byrd. The other white meat.

$100 on prime rib to win!  You don't know what you talking about.  Have another coffee and get back to us.

One of my favorite breakfast sides that “could” qualify for vegetarian is my potato side.

I sauté red potato’s cut to a small ish dice.  Not hash brown small but maybe 1/4 - 1-2 inch strips.   I par boil them for 5 mins or so drain and put in a sautee pan.   I use maybe 6-7 potato’s.

this is where the “could” be vegetarian comes in.  The fat you chose to use.   Now I like a good duck fat.  But you could use butter olive oil or beef tallow or bacon grease.

I slow sautee them until crispy with salt pepper and ~1-2 Serrano peppers.

in a separate sautee pan I sautee sliced red bell peppers and white or yellow onions.   Same fat choices…. But olive oil works here too.  Salt pepper.

when I’m happy with the crispiness / done ness of the potatos I combine them into the larger sautee pan to stay warm.   Sometimes I’ll put green onion in there for a crunchy garnish.

I’ll use them as a stuffing for breakfast tacos.  I’ll use them as the base for a skillet with eggs bacon or sausage.  I’ll pair them with some nice seared skirt steak.

I’ll just eat them by themself because they’re great.

Boys we might need to ease back and refocus on some wrasslin threads. This threads 4 pages deep😂

Or all jump over to the new foodie thread.

I might need another coffee, hadn't read all the messages to realize this was not a wrestling thread.

Chow Chow

3/4 Bushel green tomatos cut in half

4 hot red peppers

4 red bell peppers

1 head cabbage cut in 8 pieces

1 heaping tablespoon celery seed

1 heaping tablespoon all spice in a bag

3 pounds of onions

6 large cucumbers

2 1/2 quarts of vinegar

4 pounds of sugar.

Soak the tomatos and peppers in a 1/2 cup of salt over night.  Drain then add everything to a large pot and cook for 1 hour and additional sugar or vinegar to taste.   Cool and run through a 1/4" grind after removing all spice bag.  Can can or just jar depending on how quickly you'll use.

Let it rot so it disgusting and you got kimchee!

these two 24/7 clowns are the reason why good threads get 1000’s of views and bare minimum responses. They work hard in tandem trying to be relevant in a chat room when in fact they are irrelevant here, D1 wrestling and life in general.

I think you are confusing what I'm saying.  I am saying the art form is making the food taste great when you are cooking.

I couldn't care less about the visual appeal of my food.   Think of making a soup. It's about tasting and seasoning, tasting and seasoning all while understanding what the seasoning is going to do in 2 hours, 4 hours... that's an art, not a science.

As a scientist (though my kids tell me I only USED to be a scientist since I am in leadership nowadays), art and science intersect all the time, so you're both right.

I'm a vegetarian by proxy.   The things I eat eat vegetables and grasses.

We like to call this a second hand vegetarian. Everything you eat eats vegetables.

Vegetarian is a funny word. Little known fact it’s actually an old Native American word that loosely translates to “Bad Hunter”.

<rim shot> I’ll see myself out…

Today I'm going with Jax and Seidel the guys that like to score surprising those BIGs

I get the hijacking of the Jimmy threads (and some warrant it) but I thought this was actually a good one and could have been an actual good conversation

FWIW though I voted for Seidel as well

To stick to the OP I think any of Davino, Blaze, Jax, Seidel, Byrd are fine picks to win and would not argue with you. I also think Kyler larkin may be a sleeper his only official loss is a medical forefeit and I have seen him lose Jax, Davino, Blaze without getting a win so its a bit of a stretch for me but I think the talent is there. That being said which should come to nobodies surprise I am picking Jax. I think his worst matchup is Marcus but I believe he may have the cleanest path to the finals as I think I would pick him to beat everyone else with some level of confidence. As for the other guys I think Byrd and Blaze are bad matchups for each other, it feels like a match that will almost certainly be decided by one sequence and when both guys are so high level I think that leads to a coin flip. Seidel may just be too darn good on top and perhaps he rides that all the way to a title. Ben feels like a guy who could either run through everyone to the semis if he is on his offense or if he is more passive could be in a close one from round 2 on given the depth of the weight and for that reason I am a bit scared to pick him on top of seeing him drop matches to Jax and Marcus without scoring in the last 6-7 months.

I think what most excites me about the 133 is that we are going to get some really good matchups on Thursday night; the 6, 7, and 8 seeds are really going to have to earn their way into the Quarters (I'm projecting the 9 - 11 seeds to be some combo of Fugitt, Ayala, Van Dee cause someone has to take losses in the Big Ten Tourney).

I would expect Serrano, Mougalian, Brown, Andrick, and Davis to also put up solid a Thursday night fight but would be more surprised if they made the quarters than if one of the B1G trio above punched through

I don't even eat dairy products these days, but I lived a life through age 30 of eating anything presented to me.  As a suburban Philadelphia born Italian American, I had my fair share of meat before I made the change anyway.  So I can relate and my salivary glands still go off when I smell meat over hot coals - even 11 years later.
