All these lawsuits against respected people in our sport will not help this man.  I wasn't even familiar with the story until his lawsuits became news.  It has however really enlightened me as to the level of depravity openly being exhibited by a much larger group of individuals than I would have ever imagined. When the content surrounding this controversy is presented in court I do not want to be the individual the jury is looking at as the creator of said content.

Screenshots of this board are exhibits in the lawsuit against FLO.  This board has nothing to do with FLO so it just seems like the ALLEGEDLY ugly, ALLEGEDLY stupid, and ALLEGEDLY lazy attorneys are ALLEGEDLY throwing darts, hoping something sticks.

 

Flo’s employee Jon Kozak made comments in that thread.  I think the allegation is that they those comments are defamatory.  The new user commonsense2400 made similar allegations in the thread regarding Kozaks comment and advising him to “Talk to human resources and legal fast.”

I don’t know if the bold section is true or not.  I have definitely seen people describe thumbnail strategy and offer services related to this.  This would only make sense if the channel could pick the thumbnail photo.  I have also seen videos with thumbnails that are a frame from the video with text and graphics added.  Flowrestling often does this.  It’s a frame from the video with red or white text overlayed saying something about the video, usually the team names or participants.  Not sure if they make those outside the YouTube app and then upload.  I have never used the YouTube app from the creator side.
 

 

I have bolded the important part. The owner of the channel can use custom thumbnails for their videos. They certainly do not have to let YouTube generate a thumbnail for them automatically.

All I am saying is that this individual could have solved this thumbnail issue himself rather easily after all of the outrage over the thumbnails. If it were me, and there was this much outrage over the thumbnails I'd just solve them by making them a branded logo that is the thumbnail for all videos.

If you don't know somebody's motivation behind what they are doing, usually looking at the outcome will give you the highest probability of their motivation.

I was describing how to find the most replayed part of the video, but didn't want to post a screenshot of the relevant part because it's kind of graphic.  To do this hover your mouse on you web browser over the progress bar and a light grey graph will appear above the progress bar showing which sections of the video were watched the most.  On a mobile device if you select the progress bar and begin moving through the video a similar graph will appear.  When you've scrolled to the peak of the graph text that says "most replayed" should appear next to the time indication.

I have attached the a pic of the most viewed match on the mobile YouTube app showing this.  I have also added a red arrow showing which part of the Blaze-Kilkeary match was most replayed.  You will have to watch the videos and go to those portions of the video to see why millions of viewers are watching these videos.  In both instances the most watched part was a break in action between a stoppage and before a restart.

You can also repeat this technique on any of the top 10 most viewed videos on his channel with male participants and get similar results.  Compare this with the most replayed portion of the most viewed video on Flo Wrestling's channel. 

Thanks for the explanation. I can understand somebody looking up a match between these two guys, who are both great wrestlers.  I watched a good deal of that exchange and didn't notice anything weird. Guess I must've missed something? I've seen videos of guys literally crapping themselves in matches on youtube before, THAT was offensive.

You're talking about Kilkeary and Blaze, right?  Sure its an interesting match between two good wrestlers and Super 32 is a big event, but not as interesting as Blaze vs Bassett at the world team trials? 

Flowrestling has the later on their channel and it only has 373k views.  That was a bigger event and a bigger match posted on a channel with more subscribers.  

The Kilkeary-Blaze match is the most viewed Blaze match on YouTube by over 1M views.  The second most viewed Blaze match is the Ramos-Blaze match from the Clarion Open on Flowrestling's channel.  It has 525k views.  If you look at the most replayed portion of Blaze-Ramos it is the scramble at the end that decides the match.  The most replayed part of Kilkeary-Blaze is is during a stoppage between periods 5:20-5:25 in the video. 

It's easy to miss if you are watching the wrestling.  You don't pay attention during the stoppages.  If you are still not seeing it watch Kilkeary closely during those 5s of video specifically his right hand and the white portion of his singlet.  That's what drove 1M+ views to this video over Blaze vs NCAA Runner up Ramos and Blaze vs #1 Recruit Bo Bassett.

For those with a Flo subscription you can watch Flo's version of the Blaze-Kilkeary match from super 32 and compare it with Gharavi's.  You can see Gharavi filming mostly in the top left of Flo's video, but he moves around.  He is always on the opposite side of the mat from Flos camera.
