I just watched Vega pull his singlet-legs down ~30 times in a single match. Fixated/distracted, I saw the same adjustment up and down the line-ups of both teams.

One observation and one related question:

1. Everything old is new again: 30 years ago, they invented "jam-cut" singlets to help out with this sorta thing. Then 15 years ago, kids were pulling up the legs. Now it's back, replacing the thumbs-in-suspender bit.

2.Do these sorta tics-- Dance's ankle roll, Nadal's butt-picking-- have any positive psych benefits?

JB sock pull up I think whatever can help keep you in the moment. Nadals stuff I think became a detriment to him though when environmental factors would change so hopefully it does not become something that extreme.

Is it true Vega's body stretches 6" during a 7 minute match?  I think he is just adjusting his singlet to compensate.

Yeah. By 2017, it was totally* gone. I misremembered that.

*occasionally, you could sorta see remnants of it. . . But you have to be looking for it.

No he didn't. It continued in college.

The first time I saw him do that, I thought he really rolled his ankle.

As much time as wrestlers spend in uncomfortable positions and environments, I see them adjust the silliest things at the most inopportune  times.

I got this great photo of our 126 picking a hair off his tongue while the other guy chases a Russian to the corner.

I've yet to see a wrestler tweak his nipples through his singlet.
