Michigan has voiced concerns over the private equity deal the Big Ten is wanting to enter into. They have also mentioned leaving the Big Ten and being an Independent like Notre Dame.

Would that just be for fb? What are some of the other things to consider if they go Independent?

Yea, you are so right. Cael has no clue what he is doing.

No one said he doesn’t know what he’s doing.  But he ducks competition early in the season.  He is setting that tone.

What Xmas tourney they supporting ….. or helping let die this year ?

Didn't 7 of their guys wrestle at worlds? Is that ducking? You are grasping at straws, hating greatness. Relax and open your eyes. Try to understand what Cael is doing. Its not "supporting" some xmas tournament. Its winning NCAAs. Again.

Worlds isn’t folkstyle boss.   Worlds isn’t revenue for our sport here.  Folkstyle ncaa is our sport.  Americans as a whole don’t care about u23 or u20 or u17.    Americans barely care about the world championships or the Olympics.   World medals don’t grow American wrestling as a whole.

Also.  The us has been dominant with and without psu recently.  Last 10+ years we have been dominant on the world stage.

You also forgot to answer what Xmas tourney they are supporting to grow the sport?

Going to a Christmas tournament doesn't support growing the sport, and its not Cael's job to grow the sport. His job is to win NCAA tournaments. Do you understand now?

I understand why psu coaches and psu fans are bad for the sport yes.   In no other sport on earth.  Is this level of sucking and not attending the big competitions do the fans celebrate it

I’ve posted stats a dozen times.  From memory we were always (statistically) 1,2,3 in all age groups outside Greco which is not poplar enough to discuss     For like 10+ years

Top 3 when about 5 countries are respectable isn't good. Winning every year would be dominant. Iran and Russia have been much better.

Dominant.  This is where you’re wrong.  The world stage is the world stage.  A Perennial top 1/2/3 is dominant.

also barely anyone in the USA cares about freestyle success.  Has nothing to do with building youth wrestling Or high school or college.    That’s just a fact.

a gazillion gold medals on the world stage isn’t getting more kids into kids into folkstyle wrestling or into high school wrestling.

And the majority of American's don't care about NCAA wrestling.

Penn State isn't going to save - or kill - folkstyle wrestling. If what Penn State does is "bad" for the sport, as you allude to, and college wrestling suffers and loses revenue or media attention - or whatever you think the problem is - because of Penn State either attending an event or scheduling their own duals, it's in much worse shape than anything Penn State can do to help it.

And speaking of help - you appear to need it. I don't care to go through your posts about wrestling and see which ones do and don't reference Penn State, but it's probably more than half of them.

You should probably step away from the keyboard for some time if Cael Sanderson and Penn State wrestling either bother that much - or cause you so much concern.

The majority of penn state alumni do not care about folkstyle wrestling fwiw.
