Ono is officially registered at 57. Could we see any last minute entries, maybe someone from Iowa??

Mason Parris and Jacarra Winchester  return to the mat as the other competitors with a senior medal on their resume.

Greco has a couple interesting participants in former world team members Zac Braunagel (GR) and Zane Richards (FS). Richards made the best of 3 finals last year in his Greco debut. Peyton Robb will also be wasting his talent in the boring style.

It's only boring if you don't know what you're looking at.

Wish ono was going 65kg for s's and g's we are unfortunately very weak domestically at 57kg outside of our big 2.

I mean, anything can be interesting to someone, somewhere. A guy was doing cost accounting on a livestream, with some of the figures obfuscated, and ofc a handful of viewers were commenting that we don't understand the content in its GAAP-compliant splendor. But that doesn't mean it needs to be an Olympic sport.

Yeah, it would be fun to see him up at 65. Is he holding his weight down for folkstyle or what? I guess PSU is a little thin at 125/133 if one of the starters got banged up.

He kept saying he was going 57kg for 2028 so maybe hes testing it out at +2kg? the field is just not really going to do anything for him. he wrestled two high level guys at 65kg in his career though and neither match went 6 mintues so I think that is his best option.

He beat Spencer at 57+2.5. Munkh Batkhuyag is in the field and he's really solid.

Ono apparently struggled to make 57kg earlier this year; this is likely a test on his way down. He may also go 57kg for Worlds this coming year if he can make it.

That's my recollection too. In the runup to the exhibition, I thought he said that 57 wasn't a pleasant cut. After the match, he said he was open to going anywhere from 57-65kg

He made 59.5? I think for the Lee match and said it was fine but didn't seem to enjoy it

Yup. His only losses this year are 9-6 to Chong Song Han (World Gold) and 13-8 to Harutyunyan (World Bronze, guy who teched Spencer)

It would be kind of electric if he beat Ono, although I am hopeful Jax can take him out at RAF or something of the sorts.

Tiarybek zhamasbek uulu and basset could wrestle at the BF. That could be our first real comparison between Bassett and Forrest as Jax beat him at senior worlds 13-8 but he seems to wrestle 65kg outside of continentals and worlds.

When are brackets released?

Morning of.

We'll see quite a few on-site entries, I believe.

Word on the street is that a certain chubby fellawho never missed a Saturday night appearance will be entering to lock up a WTT spot. Friend of a friend of a neighbor's mother's pet dog's pen pal kind of rumor.

You could be explaining a lot of people there...

"Saturday night" = NCAA finalist?

"Chubby" = uh, someone wrestling up from their "traditional" weight?

Based on that my head goes to Starocci but I'm not too certain

I took is as meaning Steveson, fwiw.

Steveson or Blue Dragons Jr.

I was referring to Chubby Cenzo. He did mention in a recent interview that he beat Kerk in the room previously and is still capable, so maybe he was hinting at pulling a Zillmer with all the PA pork rolls at his discretion and moving up to 125. I also have no clue and am an idiot on the internet posting 7th hand gossip so take it with a grain of salt.

He was message board famous for allegedly getting up to >200lbs in the off-season so what's another 20-30lbs on top of that?
