I would presume this is much higher.   The avg salary according to Google across the whole gov is 106k.  This is Not counting benefits.  401k matches fica health dental bla bla … that is about an additional 40% (benefits).   Plus layoffs are an annuity.    They add up.  Year.  After year.   After year.

We need more doge and less government.

Not actually that high considering almost all of the jobs are white collar and require degrees. You gotta be able to compete w pvt sector for these workers.

I just stated another fact is all. You don’t and never will like facts because they don’t support your narrative.

You lie constantly, and support trumps lies. All you do is "tow" the line. Like a lackey.

White collar workers don’t work for 60k boss.     At least I wouldn’t.   Also add 40% for benefits

from the Google machine

  • Average federal salary:Before the layoffs, the average federal employee salary was around $106,000 in 2024, but this figure includes a large range of positions. White-collar federal workers averaged about $110,000, while blue-collar workers averaged closer to $70,000.
  • High-earning DOGE staff:In contrast to the laid-off employees, some DOGE staff were found to be earning six-figure salaries. This contradicted initial statements from Elon Musk that DOGE compensation would be "zero." For example, some staff working with the GSA were reportedly earning between $120,500 and $195,200 annually.

Yah, like I said, those salaries aren't that high considering the degrees and expertise they need. Most of them aren't like goon ICE agents.

Yes, many are not even lazy, many really have nothing to do.

Move to FL, this is where they all move in their 50's with those pensions, then they work for the local govt. here, do it for 7 years and collect another one!

100% wrong, long term, when you consider total comp, pension, etc, and the fact that very few work 8 hours, I mean, they are there for 8 hours, but working, not so much. This is not a secret, and every one of my friends who is on the left would even agree. The government is extremely bloated.

For example, when I worked there, Steve in the Cube next to me had a remarkably simple desk setup, with only a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Oh, and a phone. His phone never rang, and he never typed anything. The only thing he did was attend meetings. Every Friday, he would pick up a state car to drive to his cabin that weekend. This is not made up,

... and when he got the DOGE email asking what he did last week he said ...

This is a nothingburger. This is something the US has done early and often to maintain hegemony of the western hemisphere. It is the Monroe Doctrine. And with China working to build an economic relationship with Argentina, it makes sense to extend an economic lifeline.

The only difficulty is what Trump said the other day about only doing so if Milei's party wins the upcoming election. That raised local concerns in Argentina about US interference in their elections. Well, of course, but you just don't say it out loud.

The US has been buying an undetermined amount of pesos in the open market for a few weeks to support their currency. So now we use dollars to buy pesos directly from the Argentine government, and work with others to do the same. The government can then use the dollars to retire debt, or support their currency with open market purchases, or whatever it is we prefer they do.

Bessent even opened the possibility that the US will buy up some Argentine debt, which has a long proud history of default. Think of it as the cost of doing business and maintaining influence in the west.

LOL...you post this crap and then turn around and try and argue about "lying"...can't make this stuff up.

Approximately 27.5% of federal jobs have a positive education requirement, meaning a degree is mandatory for performing the duties. However, a different statistic indicates that about 70% of federal jobs do not require a college degree, and many can be entered with a high school diploma or work experience.

Technically, that may be true because experience can substitute for a degree, but it's virtually impossible to get the required experience w o the degree anyway. So, in reality, you need a degree for these jobs. Good luck getting qualified workers w lower pay (except we should give all ICE goons big pay cuts), especially w how they are treated by this admin. The data proves that govt workers, on avg, alresdy make LESS than pvt sector workers w similar education and experience.
