The most stupefying statement came at the 1:30 point when member of the supreme court states her biggest concern is someone's "view" that the First Amemdment " . . . hamstringing the federal government in significant ways".  !!???!!!!  WTF civics class and law school did she attend?  If her education was subsidized I want my money back.  That is EXACTLY what the First Amendment does.  "Congress shall make no law . . . Taxes are paid by the normal joe.   Where you live, you pay property taxes whether because you own property or rent property.    Where you buy stuff, you pay sales tax.   Where you buy stuff, the business owner has to pay some kind of business tax etc.   Said biz owner doesn't pay those taxes, normal joe does in higher prices.   When gas tax (and diesel) go up, food and merchandise prices increase thus normal joe essentially pays those taxes as well.   Normal Joe pays all the taxes.   Government hides them so normal Joe can't see them but they are there.   Assume Normal Joe could see all the taxes he pays.   Would Normal Joe be happy or extremely upset?

Cook county (Chicago ILL ish ) is one of the worst places in the country for taxes too.  We pay for everything here.   We pay now $0.10 per bag at the grocery store.   That is up even from the old tax of $0.07.   Local government is out of control.  The streets/roads are shit.  The highways are in disarray.   Crime is crazy.    They’re talking about head count taxes.    Down town congestion fees … The uber taxes to take an uber down town are almost 80+% of the bill.    I had a $20 uber the other day with $11 in taxes and city fees.    
 

the dam is going to break one day.  We need doge like entities locally more than federally imo.  
 

over 600 million was spent last year on illegals 

Police overtime for the Jussie smollette case was over 130,000

13 million on an art council that was accused of mis using funds 

the unions and pension funds are consistently insolvent and will not end well 

My property taxes keep going up.  Businesses and rich people are leaving….   This once great city won’t last 10-15 more years at this pace.
