Geno is going to be old by 2028. Zare would crush Gable as well. This is the one weight noone in the USA will touch this cycle. Wyatt reminds me of Cael a little. But McCoy really. If he dedicates himself he might turn it around but he looked undersized also. This is why Snyder would never go heavy in freestyle. Size is so much more important getting exposure points than in folkstyle. Kerry McCoy was similar size as Hendrikson and would get mauled alot in freestyle against the huge guys. We are in bad shape at Heavyweight unless a young gun is out there? Mocco to small, Merrill? I mean it is the only weight where we are not a medal threat. Imagine if the NCAA finals match was freestyle. Gable by tech easily.  Case in point Bruce B was much better at Freestyle which is rare for an american. He was 280 and had a high free IQ.

Dang, wanted that one for Jax. However he has done great and even to wrestle for a medal at his age is huge.

Who didn't?

Jax Forrest has a long great future... he's gathering experience that will serve him well.

Uguev showed why he has won so much. Jax showed a lot this morning, can still bring home a medal and that is one heck of a showing even if he "only" gets 5th at worst. Me thinks he's bringing home hardware though. And working with Taylor the next three years he will add significantly to his offensive arsenal.

Well done by Jax.  I actually was most impressed by him in two situations where he gave up points.  1.  When he scrambled out of a sure takedown to a leg-in position that would have scored in folk (and the fight off the back) and 2. Weaseling his way out of the cradle.
