The text of the Constitution on the official government site has been edited to remove Sections 9 and 10. It just so happens these are the sections that cover Judicial Review and Habeas Corpus.

Does Trump not want people reading about these Constitutional Rights? Imagine if Joe Biden did something like this.

Seriously...SMH

No, sections 9 and 10 of the U.S. Constitution have not been removed from the government site. They are still present in Article I, which outlines the powers of Congress. Section 9 specifically limits Congress's powers, while Section 10 restricts the powers of the states.

Do you use AI searches and regurgitate information without actually verifying? If you actually go on https://constitution.congress.gov/constitution/ sections 9 and 10 are no longer there in article 1 or anywhere. If you control f search there is no mention of habeus corpus anymore

The left winger rock crowd is just not digging deep enough in the outrage trench.  Have you not seen what Trump is doing?  He's making all kinds of multi million dollar improvements to the White House.  Why do you think he is doing that?   He's figured out a way to buy the White House.  He's never moving out!  Where's the outrage?!

The outrage is coming from his wife, as usual, after he paved over the Rose Garden that she restored.

Not that "He's figured out a way to buy the White House" as much as his handlers (who are savvy with 80-something mush brain adults wearing depends underpants) may have easily convinced him of that. Seems Trump believes that he'll be able to end elections and become the dictator until he can pass that role on to his children. (Handlers are sneaky.)

So are they in there or not??  Or do you want to just continue to faux outrage??

They are back now.

Not just back.   Was a coding error.  Trump didn’t have a hand in this.    I think Trump is asking @uncle bernard for a formal apology.   Or so I’m told

Library of Congress blames "coding error" for missing sections of online Constitution

The Library of Congress on Wednesday pointed to an unspecified "coding error" that led to key parts of the U.S. Constitution being deleted from the Constitution Annotated website.

Why it matters: The missing sections included foundational provisions, such as the right to habeas corpus — which protects people from unlawful detention — and the foreign emoluments clause.

  • Those constitutional principles have risen to the forefront of political and legal debate amid the president's immigration crackdown and foreign dealings.
  • As of Wednesday around 2p.m. ET, the text had been restored.

Driving the news: As highlightedby tech news site TechCrunch, an archived version of the website shows that a chunk of Article I Section 8 was cut, in addition to the entirety of Sections 9 and 10 of Article I.

  • According to captures from the Wayback Machine, those sections were present as recently as mid-July.

What they're saying: "It has been brought to our attention that some sections of Article 1 are missing from the Constitution Annotated ...website," the Library of Congress said in a statement posted to social media. "We've learned that this is due to a coding error."

  • A banner across the top of the site read, "The Constitution Annotated website is currently experiencing data issues. We are working to resolve this issue and regret the inconvenience."
  • Links for certain provisions included in those sections, such as Section 9's text on ex post facto laws, directed to an error page that read "Page Not Found" with a portrait of George Washington. That page has since been restored.
  • The Library of Congress did not immediately respond to Axios' request for further information.
