Takahashi/Carr/Burroughs all wrestle extremely similar and own the only wins over Mitchell since he got to PSU.

2 out of 3 of these guys have made olympic finals as well. Maybe you just have to be elite. Lmao.

This whole take is hilarious. But that last sentence is something else. Last time Caliendo and Carr wrestled it was 16-4 in favor of Carr. They're not remotely the same.

They really aren't too.  Carr has a much longer frame and room to grow, not to mention world class quickness and power.  Caliendo reminds me of Sean Sherk... short little arms and gym muscles.

Takahasi has not made the Olympic finals nor ever competed at the Olympics

Lets put a hypothetical in the mix. P J Duke hits a growth spurt and cant make 157 next year.

It'll be hard for him to make the finals against Mesenbrink...

Cal will have close, low scoring matches with Mesenbrink but I don't see MM losing unless he has a mental lapse and forgets about riding time again or something. MM will light up his other opponents but overrespect Caliendo, which will make it seem closer than it is. We've seen similar with Nolf (Hidlay), Starocci (Kemerer), RBY (ADS), etc.

So every time those guys have a close match it's simply them over-respecting the other guy?

Hasn’t it been said that Mesenbrink can probably make 157?

He's not going to cut down out of an Olympic weight.

x2

It doesn't make any sense.  Especially when the only real hole he seems to have, that is apparent right now, is that he is small at 74 KG.  He needs to add size.

And anyways... there isn't a soul at 165lbs who is going to come close to beating him next season.  Why would he cut the extra eight pounds?

Is anyong giving Joey Blaze or Dee Lockett a shot at taking out Mitchell?

I assume Dee has the better shot, getting in the college room and being coached by DT who showed what he can do against PSU last year with Wyatt and Hamiti.

Blaze, in my biased opinion, always has a shot at winning, Kasak is the perfect example of him being able to beat anyone any given day. He is also onto his second international event this year so he is getting better this off season no doubt.

With all due respect to Kasak, MM is a different animal.
