Yesterday Trump gleefully told a story about how his uncle, an MIT professor, had taught the Unibomber, Ted Kaczynski and what a brilliant student he was.

Just a few small problems with that one. Kaczynski didn't go to MIT. He went to Harvard. And he was not identified as the Unibomber until 1996. Trump's uncle died in 1985.

Oh, and immigrants are eating pets.

And Jeffrey Epstein is boring, why does anyone even care, and Biden wrote the Epstein file, the proof of which Patel has provided to Bondi, who has it sitting on her desk right now, to be released momentarily, unless it becomes too boring and no one should care.

Everyone wants to forget the first Trump term. Even Trump.

Yes.  He totally screwed the pooch on Covid (Warp Speed, Navy Hospital ships to NYC, not getting rid of Fauci on the first mask reversal, allowing shut downs to be EVEN PROPOSED!!!), being soft on illegal aliens while focusing on the visual of a wall, not draining the swamp, exploding government spending, firing Flynn rather than the top 1000 FBI and CIA political operatives, and many other things.  He was OK on tax policy (although SALT deduction should be zero), foreign policy, energy policy, getting out of silly international agreements.

The question is why couldn't the Republicans nor the Democrats come up with something more appealing to the American people?  When asked by European work colleagues in 2016 who I was going to vote for  - it is strange how interested in American politics they are and how they feel it is not to personal a question to ask someone - I would answer thus:

"I have stated before that I will vote for a steaming pile of dog feces before voting for Hilary Clinton.  And this year I have the opportunity to prove it."

I supported other candidates in the contested primaries of 2016 and 2024.  Yet the democrats leave me only the option of proving dog feces is preferable to their candidate over and over again.  Where is the modern day Sam Nunn, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, etc?

This has been my dilemma for the past ten years.  Only difference between you and I, and I don’t say this to say one of us is right or wrong, is that I don’t feel like I just have to vote for someone just to vote.  So instead of voting for either heaping piles of dog *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me*, I’ve just left that slot blank and worked my way down the rest of the ballot. Would be nice to see someone I feel fit for that office on the ballot.  Preferably on the Republican side, but I’ll take anything worthwhile at this point.

I understand this sentiment but I do hold my nose and vote.  I helped Clinton get elected by voting against Bush via casting my ballot for Perot.  Perot was far from perfect but Bush had forfeited any shot at re-election via betrayal and craven spinelessness.  And Clinton was, well, you know, too slick to be let out of Little Rock..

There are a few slots I will vote no matter what….mayor, city council, and sheriff. Those slots have the biggest impact on our day to day life.  The Presidency is obviously a very very important office,  but my belief is, and I’ve been ragged on this board for this belief but I don’t care it’s my belief, is that the president doesn’t have 1/100th the impact on my and my family’s day to day life that I do myself, so I’m not going to support any heaping pile of *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* I don’t feel is fit for that office.

Now there is how he can’t believe Biden appointed Powell.   Ummmmm

I don't think Trump can avoid lying or blaming everyone else for things. Literally everything is somehow somebody else's fault.
