What question has a reporter posed to him? As near as I can tell, none.

How would I know? Sounds like a question for the reporters. Ask them and get back to us with their answers.

Based on your response above thought maybe you had inside intel.  🙅‍♀️

Let me know when happy valley journalist set up a press briefing for random intermat posters to ask quedtions and i'll be sure to submit a few.  🙂

1. This post is in very poor taste, but also demonstrates how people are attacked for speaking out or reporting  against sex crimes

2. My understanding was that her site was clothed and she was more than happy to take peoples money for it.  However, you'd probably know better than me.

1. When people falsely imply others committed sex crimes, they deserve all the scorn they can get.

2. Your understanding is incorrect.

People keep trying to prove with the negative. The lack of evidence is suddenly evidence of something. Someone on here claimed they knew ESPN was looking into it. Maybe dig that guy up and ask.

You can @ me next time. I said literally all I could on the matter because the only info I had is that at least two people, including one ESPN journalist, had been assigned to look into it. The furthest speculation I said was "I bet we find out very soon if this story has real legs to it."

I have no vendetta against PSU but I'm reminded that PSU is experienced in covering up scandals, Cael is used to keeping his mouth shut, and boosters tend to value winning over anything. They know what they're doing and nobody involved with PSU has anything to gain from pursuing this. Maybe the State will get involved but probably not.

What are you going to ask him..."Have you seen all Syd Bartlett's XXX rated only fans?" "Did you really need to see the size of her vajayjay?" "Is she really that big of a skank?".

No I think he's the head of a program that has had significant scandals and shouldn't be allowed to just act like they're everyone else's problem. Which would be nice because it would make it less tempting to run with narratives along the lines of "Cael doesn't coach character at all will cheat to win without remorse" which is a wide open lane right now.

Certainly the school has had a huge scandal, one of the biggest, most awful ever.

But wrestlers getting nailed for PEDs, drinking, and prostitution, does not rise to the level of scandal. Unseemly, sure, but not scandalous.

The things alleged by the Bartlett's are criminal. It seems that crimes should be reported to the police and investigated by the police. And at least one was. The police found no evidence to support the claim. Maybe it happened anyway. Some thieves get away with it. And some accused of crimes, never commit any.

Let's face it. Starocci is unlikeable. Bartlett is very likeable. Sometimes opinions flow from that.

I think you should have gone with a "resident athlete vs student athlete" thing as opposed to "prostitution and steroids aren't scandalous".

To be fair, I think it’s more than just a few message board posters that would like to hear a comment from Cael about the Bartlett/Starocci story…

So because there was no ESPN story, should we assume there were no “legs”?

I would agree and with Penn State's history you'd think journalists would be asking questions and admins would be clarifying situation.

I remember when George Billy (or vice versa) assaulted a kid on the mat, unintentionally messy him up really bad, and Koll made a statement along the lines of "We're embarassed by George's actions, they reflect horribly on him and the program, we are not going to extend the damage to the program by dealing with it in a sensational or public manner," and I thought that was a good, if not terribly satisfying, response. Cael's silence reads like "i'm untouchable, F off".

Presumably this wrestler you can't remember was guilty of something. What if Starocci is not guilty of something (besides being a tool) what should Sanderson say then? Should he say anything? Or should he not lend credence to it?

You speak as though you know Starocci to be guilty of these things and Sanderson owes you something as a result.

I think if Starocci was still a student Cael might have actually gotten more questions about it.

That really shouldn't matter.  He was on campus, using facilities, under Cael and the accusations that these shenanigans were also going on when he was a student.

I'm obviously conflating a bunch of stuff into the need for one formal statement, as if the aggregate was a mandate, which it isn't upon reflection. You're off saying I'm acting like sanderson owes me something, more like i'm used to programs maintaining the illusion of transparency.

he was a student when much of this happened is my understanding.
