"If elected I will end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours

“We get a lot of bull*I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* thrown at us by Putin, if you want to know the truth,” Mr. Trump told reporters. “He’s very nice to us all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless.”

“That’s how it is,” Mr. Putin went on. “Real life is always more complicated than the idea of it.”

On Wednesday, Russia launched 728 exploding drones and decoys, according to Ukraine’s air force. That was 189 more drones than during the previous record volley of 539 drones, which came on Friday.

Meanwhile, with a straight face, Trump claims he has no idea who halted deliveries of weapons to Ukraine.

First president Ever…. To not deliver on his campaign promises.

with that said  bunker Joe succeeded on which one of these campaign promises ?

Notable 2020 Biden Campaign Promises

Climate & Energy

No new drilling on federal lands — Biden approved large oil and gas projects, including Alaska's Willow project

End Keystone XL pipeline — immediate pause was reversed; pipeline ultimately canceled, but contradictions persisted .

Healthcare & Economy

Public option healthcare — promised during the campaign, then dropped before taking office

$2,000 direct checks — ultimately the stimulus gave $1,400, not the full amount pledged.  (This one is a little weak)

Student Debt & Social Policy

Forgive all undergraduate student loans — legally blocked and never enacted

Police & Justice Reform

Pass national policing commission / George Floyd Act — stalled in Congress and never became law

Immigration & Borders

No more border wall construction — efforts largely continued, with additional barriers

Raise refugee cap to 125,000 — instead paused or lowered; cap never reached

End "metering" of asylum seekers — continued delays remained at border processing.

Foreign Policy & War

End input in Middle East wars (e.g., Yemen) — U.S. support continued; full withdrawal never occurred

No evacuation chaos in Afghanistan — withdrawal was widely criticized as disastrous

No more "forever wars" — troops were reassigned to Syria and elsewhere .

Taxes & Corporate Regulation

IRS funding only to pursue wealthy evaders — the IRS got broad enforcement powers that some argue affected middle-class taxpayers

Other Promises

**Support a study of slavery reparations**
Promise: He pledged to back a federal study of reparations for slavery.
Reality: No study commission or formal effort was initiated—rated Promise Broken by PolitiFact

**Allow importation of prescription drugs from Canada**
Promise: Campaign pledged to permit Canadians to export cheaper drugs to the U.S.
Reality: The FDA approved limited pilots in 2023, but significant legal, regulatory, and diplomatic roadblocks prevented implementation—PolitiFact labels this stalled/broken

**Create a public health job corps of 100,000 members**
Promise: Build a large-scale public health workforce via the CDC and AmeriCorps.
Reality: A $400M, 5‑year AmeriCorps pilot trained ~4,700 people—not meeting the scale—rated Compromised/Stalled Deal Town.

**Forgive all undergraduate student loan debt**
Promise: Cancel debt for graduates of public two- and four-year colleges (income cutoff $125,000).
Reality: Supreme Court threw out the plan; only partial relief offered, and PolitiFact rates it as Broken

**End U.S. involvement in the Yemeni civil war**
Promise: Withdraw military support and end involvement in the conflict.
Reality: U.S. backing has tapered, but support for the Saudi-led coalition continues—ranked Broken/Stalled

I know you would rather re-litigate the Biden years than talk about what Trump is actively failing to do right now. When you finish building that time machine let us all know.

Such a non-sequitor. I have never claimed support for any of them. You keep forgetting I am a Republican who is unhappy with Trump, and with the Republican Party for bowing to him, not a Democrat.

Interesting comment idea.

closer to 0 of the lefties here or whom I know acknowledged Biden was a shyte show until well after he was out of office / ousted by his party.  Why is that?   Why when people say y’all were a shyttier shyte show then vs now do people get angry and say don’t re-litigate the past.  When repubs on this board were pointing out Biden was a vegetable while in office y’all mostly towed the corporate main stream media line that we were crazy.

During those  days y’all did nothing but deflect.

politics as a whole is trash.  Politicians as a whole are trash.  Both parties.   Neither party cares for us normal people.   They only care for their power.   Their grift.  Their re election.

Term limits please at state local and federal level.

admit the D side is the same.   Ish?

Apologies if that’s your position.  Meaning.  If I accused you of being a left person etc….

The worst possible strategy is to drag out the war in Ukraine. It’s costly for the U.S. and plays right into Russia’s hands. Russia is a paper tiger—just like the Iranian regime. The U.S. should deal with them from a position of strength, not treat them like they’re still some global superpower. Russia isn’t the Soviet Union anymore

I don't think Trump is getting punked by Putin, and I say that as not a ringing endorsement of Trump, but rather in realistic terms.  In my opinion, the US is trying to end the war; however, between the two of them, Ukraine and Russia, they both go back on the things they say and neither seems super interested in truly ending the war.  Not sure the US can do much here other than stay on the side of the "not as bad" side...only other option would be to truly join the war and that is something we definitely should NOT do!!

I wonder if people would talk about what is going on by just saying the country name and not the respective president's names there could be a more logical conversation about things...hmmm??

This shows that Trump is truly in the puppet master Putin's pocket.

Trump tries to negotiate end to war.   Putin effectively gives Trump the finger.

Trump says now 100% tariffs on all Russian goods coming to US.   In addition tariffs on countries that buy Russian oil or gas.

That's right where Putin wanted to be I have no doubt.

I am curious the keys that point to Ukraine wanting to continue the war, continue having their cities destroyed, continue to having their innocent citizens...children...murdered?   From what I've see their demands are very simple, and very justified:  not give up their land, not give up their sovereignty, security guarantees including not giving up their military.  These are the demands of the Russians to bring the war to an end, the country that started this with an invasion, for Ukraine to give up these things to have peace (for how long?)

Someone left out the part about Ukraine demanding to become part of NATO.

That would be incorrect.  Someone is just smart enough to understand that would fall under “not giving up their own sovereignty”,smart enough to understand it is not up to Russia to decide what another country can do to protect their own sovereignty and security, and smart enough to understand Ukraine entering NATO would not impact Russia if Russia didn’t have visions of taking over parts or all of the country through invasions.

Meanwhile some are dumb enough to not only fall for, but also parrot Russian messaging.
