Cav told you who he is...is that all you are worried about versus the actual message??

Are we supposed to care about a candidate for city council? Do you know how many lunatics run for city council?

Actually yes you should care about candidates for city council.  City council is going to have a bigger impact on your everyday life than a president.

Let me rephrase: should I care about a random city council *candidate* from a random city who is not going to get elected?

Googled him. He's a college student who ran in 2021 and got 1% of the vote. This is just a random guy.

Should we care about him?   Probably not unless he says he wants to see ICE agents dead.   Then you should start to care about him and all those who he influences.  Not because he runs for a city council, but because he said that.

You would definitely take  notice if some obscure guy said he can't wait to see trans folks dead on the streets.   You would call it another piece of evidence that that conservatives are bad.   Funny that you won't do that for liberal/progressive/socialist/anarchist crazies.

He has less than 500 followers. You guys are a joke.

Where were you when a Laura Loomer, someone who has personally met with Trump, implied she wanted to kill every Latino in Ameriica. You didn't seem all that concerned then.

I have no idea who that is, but that is not something she should have said, should be condoned, and it definitely should be condemned.   I hope she doesn't influence anyone to do do that.   Just like I hope no one is influenced to kill ICE agents.   But they already have in case you haven't heard.   Calling for the destruction  of people is wrong and should be denounced, no matter the political affiliation.

Well, I mean, you are taking the time to continue to comment and look him up.  But I will ask in response, do you believe people broadcasting ideas on social media, regardless of their background, can influence others who read those ideas?  Particularly others who may not be so sound and stable in mental health? And do you care about LEO being killed in the field, regardless of whether or not you agree with their orders?

10 leftists were just arrested because they tried to kill ice agents just the other day.  They (ice) were ambushed with assault rifles…. People in military garb…. Etc.   like a few days ago.

Sure, but you realize there are millions of people saying insane things every day on social media.

Caveira was clearly trying to connect this guy to the Democratic Party. He's just a random a-hole on twitter.

The irony here is that the only reason a significant amount of people might see this guy's tweet is because they made it go viral trying to dunk on liberals.

Correct, you guys seem to be under the weird assumption that I agree with this guy. I don't. He's crazy and stupid and deserves whatever minor law enforcement visit/punishment he'll receive for that tweet.

He's also just a random guy and Caveira trying paint him as a normal, liberal city council candidate was an obvious cheap shot meant to push your guys' outrage buttons.

Um.   He’s a democrat running for public office.    To someone’s point earlier.  If he was right wing you wild be saying this is evidence <right wing> dingbats are bad.

What if this dip shyte motivated the 10 knuckle heads that literally tried to kill ice members a few days ago?

Hey man, you asked the question.  I’m not sure why you’d ask the question if you’re just going to dunk on those taking the time to give you an answer.

Yea, they’re people on the right who will try to brush away and minimize really bad things done by those on the right.  Just like there are people on the left will do the same. (There’s a pretty good example of that in this thread).  Which part of it do you want to be on?   Now that’s an interesting question.

It was a rhetorical question. The purpose was for people to realize that this isn't actually a famous or important person like Caveira implied. I didn't think it would be that hard to get, but my apologies.

Except you're the one doing that, not me. You've made up a scenario in your head and then gotten mad about it as if it actually happened.

Come on man. You not only literally rephrased your question when you got the first answer, but also took the time to look him up.  It wasn’t rhetorical, it was an attempt to downplay. Why can’t it just be a terrible thing to do, instead of mimicking the same brush aside people on the other side of your stances do?   Which goes to the question I asked you…and it wasn’t rhetorical.

So if you know.  Who motivated the 10 people who tried to ambush and kill ice agents recently?

We had a local candidate for Congress run on the platform of defunding the VA and tossing veterans out on the street because making taxpayers pay for their medical care was theft.

People who are gadfly candidates say crazy things. Like this guy. I'm sure you can find all kinds of weirdos who have extreme views that few people agree with. The city I live in had a lady run for city council twice using her made up European familial title, and that because she was a board member of her HOA, that gave her requisite experience. She finished in last place.

I believe there is a difference between saying you want to save money and you want people dead.   One is, on the extreme map, WAY MORE extreme than the other.

To be clear, Loomer saying all latinos need to die is reprehensible.   The city council candidate saying he wants ICE agents dead is reprehensible.  Your local candidate saying Vets should be tossed on the street is reprehensible.   Vets served our country and deserve our thanks and support.   The VA is bloated and a huge bureaucracy that needs to go.   The function needs to stay but in a more efficient manner and one that serves the needs of vets 1000% better.
