I just hate the "I'm leaving because ____ is President," or because of Politics. 

But if this is something that's best for your Family, good for you. That's a WHOLE different scenario. I'm thinking about MAYBE retiring abroad myself one day and spending half the time there...but it'll never be because someone thinks they can run me out of here with their politics. 

 

But hope you stay active on here if you do and good luck in that case! Certainly easier to see SOO much more history. What's the English Expression? The US thinks 300 years is a long time and the UK things 300 miles is a long trip?

I can't imagine being a high-speed train ride away from... the Sixthteenth Chapel...and I imagine the 17th is even better...after 16 times, he must have improved upon it!

We have thought about it a while and basically if we do then it's not just about who is president, though that does factor in, but going somewhere that isn't going to be as stressful. We found a great place though. Very politically stable, haven't been involved in a war or had a terrorist attack in many years. Language, we can get by. So it's just a lot of different things. But I want to spend time there next year before we look at it seriously.
