Soonest for us is next year. Hopefully by then we are better off as a country , but I'm not optimistic. I've already been looking at rentals/real estate where we'd go.

Even before all of this it's something we wanted to do. I have friends who left the US to go and they have a better quality of life there. There is also very little chance of a terrorist attack, and a lot more things that make the move there and attractive option. Not to mention my wife's family has zero intention or interest in moving to America. So we'd be closer to them.
