On the Minnow stuff, one of his ex moderators said he quit bc Minnow kept getting into arguments with people and specifically would find out where they worked, then send in anonymous complaints to their work. "here's what your employee is up to on fb" and whatnot trying to get them fired. So I think he probably did the same with this Madison lady and it's biting him in the ass lol.

How does his family tolerate what he is doing? Do they even know? I have to imagine he is a very sad and lonely man. I almost pity him

I've posted it once on the forum before, but will reiterate what I think the Mineo "problem" really is:

He never accomplished anything beyond a pretty solid high school career and just can't move past that.  So instead, he chooses to attach himself to any current stars in the sport and see which ones will stick with him.  These relationships exist almost solely on a one-sided, transactional level where Pat can use the relationship to get (pretty dubious) "insider info" and boost his profile as a "trusted source in the sport of wrestling."  Of course, that leads to further inflation of an already inflated ego that has not mentally moved past high school and results in the myriad of tirades.  Freaking out on Kasak's mom for an apology because she asked him to remove posts about her son, turning on Dean Peterson because he was upset with his Iowa commitment getting leaked early, damn near doxxing a woman because she did not believe in AJ's second chance story; the list goes on.  It does not matter what is ethically wrong or right to Pat because all he wants at the end of the day is the boost to his own image.  I bet if the Ferrari family came out denouncing Pat's posts about AJ, he would not hesitate to start posting "AJ is a r*pist" rhetoric.

In short, he is a leech.  I would love if someone pushed him off the side of the highest peak in the Delaware Water Gap.

It's eerily specific...like, if I were to go to the side of the highest peak in the Delaware Water Gap, what else would I find?

Hah! I just went with that spot because I know he is a Lehigh valley guy now.  It's actually a pretty gorgeous hiking spot if you are into that kind of thing.  Part of the Appalachian Trail crosses onto it too.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I do actually think Minnow is overall positive for the sport.   He can get people talking, that’s for sure.  And like it or not his info does turn out to be true probably about 75% of the time, most of the time the “journalists” are afraid to break it and after he posts it sometimes they will actually talk about it.  But of course I could do without his often pettiness and wish he would admit when he’s wrong rather than delete his posts and pretend they didn’t happen.

I’d definitely be interested in watching a charity match between him and Pyles.  I think it could be a match, I know he’s a better wrestler but I bet Pyles is in better shape.

Y’all are hilarious trying to pinpoint what’s “wrong” with Minnow.

He started this whole shtick in an old Facebook group called MMA Topics.  Some guy used to call him "Minnow" just to get under his skin, and he’d completely lose it - so, naturally, the name stuck.

Eventually, he got booted from that group because all he did was $hitpost, argue, and namecall.  But he realized something: $hitposting got attention.  And while most people saw him as just another combat sports troll, his real passion was always wrestling - actual wrestling.

Like him or not, agree or disagree, find him annoying or entertaining - doesn’t matter.  He’s got thousands of followers who eat up everything he posts, mostly because the ten before them did.  That’s how this pyramid scheme of his works.

It’s honestly kind of cool to see how far he’s come in 20 years.  He went from being a relentless Facebook troll who never admitted when he was wrong, to someone who's now breaking more stories than every website and journalist there is (not named Jawn Cena).  Sure, he still gets things wrong - he posts constantly, so the odds are what they are.  But unlike traditional media, he’s not tied down by anything.  That freedom lets him be fast, messy, and often right before anyone else catches up.

I’ve been as critical as anyone (hell, I brought the "Minnow" nickname over here to these streets). But I can’t deny the growth.  Nobody can.  The engagement is real.  He used to delete every other post; now he sets the pace in certain corners of the scene.

So yeah, there’s nothing really wrong with Minnow. He’s just a dude - bro who figured out how to troll the internet in a way that built a legit following.  People liked it - still like it - and he's run with it.

Ick.  I need a shower now.

I'll never understand people who can look at trolling and spreading hate and come to the conclusion that it's a net positive. The internet could do with less pond scum. Not more

I don’t think pyles has a chance , mineo is a way way more accomplished and experienced wrestler then pyles , pyles was basically a JV wrestler that started in high school, mineo was a 4x state qualifier , 3x region champ , state placer and had well over 100 wins, pyles could be in David Goggins shape and still get pinned in a minute

There are ranked women, not on the national team, who would destroy Pyles.

He also coaches his son and has been around some of the country’s best, I’d have to think he’s improved since his high school days

I actually don't mind Pyle.  He's been around good wrestlers and is fantastic shape.  Unfortunately, he was not a great wrestler in high school and didn't wrestle in college.  He can get better through osmosis to a certain degree, but even being around Saduleev isn't enough.

Minnow on the other hand,  whom I despise,  was a very good high school wrestler and I'm thinking he wrestled in college.  I don't see a situation where Pyle beats Minnow, who looks to be in some semblance of shape.

I’d put trolling and spreading hate as two different things.

Spreading hate, definitely bad, but has he really done that much?

Trolling I think can be a net positive if it doesn’t involve spreading hate and gets people talking.
