Thought it was starting at 6pm.... Flo apparently listed all their times in Pacific. Who tf does that? Is it really starting at 9pm EST?

Also - feel free to discuss the finals here if you're like me and would prefer a dedicated thread

The event is in Las Vegas.  Seems fair to list the time that matches the time of the actual event where the event is located.

It is hilarious how badly people want to find a way to slight Flo.

I'm not even a Flo hater, but get off of Flo's nuts ya drama queen. It's the standard to report nationwide broadcasts under ET.

If you look closely, it does often say EDT  ....see it once and you know....love Flo....great bang for your buck.  If I can't be there, I ride the Flo bus. image.png.2e3401c085a4b4a0eb3fef4752e05aaa.png

Going back in time, many often post the events starts in local time.  Yes, some, when not posting in local time make it clear when they use another time zone.  There is no set standard.  I have learned from experience to see if they state whether it is for a particular time zone.  What Flo has done is not unique and warrants not exclamation of shock.

Who is the drama queen?  Reread your post.

Did you really think the Saturday schedule was going to have weigh-ins begin at 7:30 AM Eastern time?  I don't think athletes in Vegas would weigh-in at 4:30 AM local time to support your east coast bias.  (for what it's worth, I lived on the east coast for nearly 40 years before moving to Vegas 20 years ago.)

Saturday, April 26

Doors open for athletes & coaches

6:30 AM

Workout Mats Available for Athletes that are weighing in ONLY

6:30 AM - 8:00 AM

Weigh-ins & Medical Check - scratch weight

7:30 AM – 8:00 AM

  • U20 – Freestyle ONLY
  • U17 – Freestyle ONLY

There's a difference between "broadcasting" and "streaming" here in the 21st century.

Oh yes, I made sure to check the weigh in times for the event. That's what matters when trying to see when the finals start.

It should be Mountain Time because that is easiest for some of us.  🤨

UFC uses ET as the standard just like every other legitimate sports league does, even if it's a stream. If anything they'll put local and ET. Reporting events in the local time zone only is stupid. Is Flo gonna report the world championships start time as 6pm from Zagreb, Croatia, with an asterisk somewhere saying *all times reported in Central European Summer Time CEST. If so, that's just stupid.

There's a whole world out there it revolves around the poles not ET.

I'm just bitching a bit bc it's stupid to list the times like that, it's not standard for prime time event schedules to be presented in the local time zone. You're acting like I'm protesting against Flo and calling for their downfall. That's a stretch and it's not personal to Flo.

That’s right.  Double and triple down.  Have you watched much wrestling online?  Thinking no.

I have, and I stand by that it's stupid to report event start times in local time zones.

I made the same mistake - thinking it was starting at 6PM Eastern.

Nerd alert!  The world rotates around (axis between) the poles; it revolves around the Sun.

Oh is there? Why have national sporting events been reported as starting in ET since the beginning of time? Surely they know there's more than one time zone in the world..?
