She has been suspended from work by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The WSC was elected by the people of Wisconsin to represent them and the state in judicial matters.  Why is rv against the will of the people and their representatives?

I don't really care if she was removed from her job temporarily. The arrest was bogus though. She may have done something wrong in the eyes of some people but nothing criminal here.

Maybe didn't keep her oath as an officer of the court?

So the highest court in WI suspends the judge, apparently based on nothing.   So it is of no concern to RV.   His legal mind is much greater than those of the WI SC.     Hubris is amazing.

The WI supreme court released a statement saying precisely why they suspended her.

Just guessing that it had nothing to do with her legal troubles.   RV has declared her completely innocent so that can't be it.

"This court is charged in the Wisconsin Constitution with exercising superintending and administrative authority over the courts of this state. In the exercise of that constitutional authority and in order to uphold the public's confidence in the courts of this state during the pendency of the criminal proceeding against Judge Dugan, we conclude, on our own motion, that it is in the public interest that she be temporarily relieved of her official duties."

Looks like I was wrong.

Not sure why you’re defensive. I didn’t make  any assumptions or proclamations as to why they took the action.  Many here are, and I just said they stated precisely why that took that action.  It’s not at all an extraordinary action for then to take.

You are right.  The WI SC is absolutely correct in the action they took.   RV would disagree.   I don't think I am being defensive, but perhaps i am, but I feel I am just looking at it from an objective viewpoint.   The judge ushered the illegal alien and his attorney out a door to evade ICE.   That is against the law as it has been shown by quoting the law.   It really is as simple as that.   Just because this person is a judge in WI gives her no right to break the law, nor does it give her a right to avoid consequences for breaking the law.   RV continues to think this is an indication of a dictator doing his thing and there is no basis for taking legal action against her.

Federal grand jury indicts Wisconsin judge in immigration case, allowing charges to continue

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal grand jury on Tuesday indicted a Wisconsin judge accused of helping a man evade immigration authorities, allowing the case against her to continue.

The arrest of Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan escalated a clash between President Donald Trump’s administration and local authorities over the Republican’s sweeping immigration crackdown. Democrats have accused the Trump administration of trying to make a national example of Dugan to chill judicial opposition to the crackdown.

As the Ds on here remind us, if a grand jury indicts, there is enough evidence to proceed with prosecution.

Duh?  Isn’t that sort of the point of punishment - to deter crime?

But didn’t “Uncle Red Sweep Viking Bernard Trip” say this was a nothing burger and all charges would be dropped before proceeding with prosecution???

They are used when Biden was President. There is a new sheriff in town.

I mean let’s at least be fair and balanced, that would be the sheriff who gave full pardons to hundreds of people who attacked law enforcement and desecrated the capitol among his very first acts, to the dismay of even his own VP, right?

I’m all for the law and accountability, so let’s  not get crazy on the ‘one way’ stuff
