Also, many right-wing legislators are talking about striking down his tariffs since Congress is supposed to control this. OPPOSITION INTERNALLY IS GROWING. He is WEAK!!!!

Exporters typically absorb a lot of those costs at first. If the tariffs stick, they eventually get 100% passed on to the consumers.

They'll continue to fight. They are much more diversified and resilient and stronger than they were 20 years ago. They have trade relationships w/ other countries. Meanwhile, we the ones trying to fight the whole world at once. They also hold a huge portion of our debt and could decide to sell it all at once. That would be a financial disaster way beyond what we're currently dealing with. 

If you think we're ones holding all the cards, you're drinking too much of that red Kool Aid. 

When I say "we" I actually mean "the wingers" because I'm not on Trump's side at all on this one. Right is right, even if it hurts me financially.

You’re underestimating the people of China. Protests have been happening regularly in China for the last few years now.  They have become organized and very strategic. The government has taken peoples money from their bank accounts,  people are waiting for houses that they’ve already paid for that may never come, lock downs, lock ups, shutting down the internet.  It’s a powder keg ready to explode.   Throw a suffering economy on top of that and the Chinese government could be in big trouble.

Yep really.  Their export volume is 7x higher than their Import volume.  They will have dump a ton of stuff at bottom dollar rates.  They’re toast

I responded I thought that was crazy and I hoped it wasn't true...just as I hoped some of the polling I'd seen about election denialism and people downplaying J6 was not true among those on the right....and look where it went? To the original poster talking about how...eventually the steely eyed and stoic will act...and then some nonsense about a 200LB Mastiff and a 10 Jack Russell(his analogy for the right vs the left in said Civil War that I'd...hoped people hadn't actually meant, but was just mindless social media excrement. 

 

It's not. China is FAR more unified. And for anyone talking about China protesting....have they seen the US? Cities Burning, storming the Capital, families armed to the gills trying to go to the polls to "stop the steal," the President nearly being shot.

I do think he's being a clown openly cheering China hitting us back with tariffs, but please, I've lost all faith. Tell me how we're NOT more divided?
