I do agree with this (for $5MM of the $8MM claimed).  They weren’t “turning mice transgender,” but it did seem like most of the studies were focused around seeing the impact of procedures that were used for trans folks.

But they are perfectly appropriate to try on trans kids first.   Experimenting on kids is compassionate medical care!
